Questions and Answers

(Kaci's POV)

Joey wanted to go to church with me today! That's so exiting! We got up, got ready, an left for church!

We got there and we were greeted by my paster, Paster Ben.

Ben: "Kaci and Joey! It's so nice to see you both! How are you?"

Joey: "Doing well! Thanks!"

Me: "Pretty good! How are you?"

Ben: "I'm a little tired, I couldn't sleep last night cause I was so exited about today's message!"

Kaci: "Oh! So it's going to be a good one then! Not that they aren't always good though. Haha, I'm glad Joey and I came today!"

I looked at Joey and smiled. He smiled back.

Ben: " I hope so! Well, I should go make sure my mic works. See you guys in a bit?"

We both smile and nod. He walks away. Joey and I say hi to a few more people, then, we go take our seats.

During worship, Joey seemed really bored and maybe a little awkward. Though, during the sermon, Joey was really interested. I could tell he was enjoying it. As Paster Ben went on with his sermon, I found out why he was nervous about today. He started a series called "Our Savior."

To be honest, I was kinda scared. What If He talks about how everyone is a sinner so we all need Jesus? Joey isn't in to that kind of stuff very much, so he may never want to come again! This is going to be fun.

When Paster Ben was done with his sermon, we prayed and then we sang a couple more songs. We ended up singing one of my favorite songs. It was called, 'Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone)' by ??? ?????.

We got out to the car after Church was over. As we got into the car, with Joey getting in the drivers side cause he asked to drive, we started to talk.

Me: "So Joey? What did you think of the service today?"

Joey was quiet for a second and he looked like he was thinking.

Joey: "I liked it. But, there is something I don't understand. Could I ask you a question?"

Me: "Of course babe!"

Joey: "So, you know that song we sang called 'Amazing Grace'? What did it mean when it said 'My chains are gone, I've been set free'? And, why were some people crying?

Joey seemed really curious and maybe even scared. He didn't understand. I quickly prayed in my head and asked God to give me wisdom. Then, I started to answer his question to the best of my ability.

Me: "When the song said 'My chains are gone,' it means that once you allow Jesus into your heart, then you are no longer a slave to sin. So, your chains that you had as a slave are taken off of you and you are free. Free from sin!"

Joey: "Okay. That makes sense."

Me: "Good! And, I'm not sure exactly why people were crying. But, maybe it's because that song is very well known, and when you understand what it's saying, as a Christian, it's very touching."

Joey: "Okay. I understand now. Thanks Beautiful!"

Me: "Anytime handsome!"

We pulled into the driveway of the house, and we got ready to start the creation process of our very first music video.
