Now They Know

(Kaci's POV)

Our weekend was stressful, but amazing. Joey and his family helped me get moved into their home, and happily excepted that fact that Joey and I were together. His family loved me, and i loved them. That made me happy. But now it was time to go back and face everyone at school. We walked into Northridge High holding hands and smiling. Then, our worst fear hit us. One of our classmates comes up to us, gives me a snotty look, and starts to flirt with Joey.

Girl: "Hey Joey! Heard you went to the ER! I am super sorry. I was so worried about you!! Are you ok babe?"

Just then, she went to hug him. I wouldn't have it.

Me: "You keep your dirty hands off of my man! And don't call him that!"

She looked at me weird.

Girl: "Ha! Your man? He's just holding your hand so that you feel loved an cared for! But really, you are good for nothing!! In fact, I'm sure that now that I have spoken the truth, he is going to break your dumb heart right now!"

I looked at Joey. He didn't look at me. He was to focused on the girl, but not that way... Focused as in giving her the *i wanna murder you* face.

Joey: "I'm sorry, but you are completely mistaken..."

He sounds like he is trying to calm down.

"...Kaci is my girlfriend and I love her. She loves me. You can be a jerk to her, or even us! But we won't care. Good day."

We started to walk away, but then I looked back.

After Joey said that, this girl looked so sad... Or was it jealous? I don't know, and i really didn't care. It was probably both. She just walked the opposite way.

Lunch came fast. Joey and I walked down to the cafeteria. When we got there, it seemed like every five minutes a different girl would come up to Joey, and be like, "I heard you had to go to ER!! I am so sorry!! By the way, will you go out with me?"

After we got out lunch, we sat down at our table. But Joey did something really strange. He stood up on the table and got the whole cafeteria's attention.

Joey: "Ok! Listen up everyone!" *the place went silent* I just wanted to thank everyone for their concerns on me going to the ER. I am doing just fine now. I would especially like to thank the lady's who have come up to me and given me much love. I just wanted to let you all know, that I won't be needing it anymore because I am getting all the love and care I need from Kaci Johnson. My girlfriend. Thank you.

Joey: "No more annoying girls or fights!! Now, they all know."
