It happened so fast that he couldn't remember what happened in between. Deceit grabbed Patton's hand and started running. "Where are we going?" Patton asked.

"Shhh!" Deceit began, sharply. "Keep your voice down! They'll hear us!"

"No!" Patton exclaimed. He jerked his hand out of Deceit's grasp. Deceit stopped running.

"Patton, what are you-"

"Listen! I have been doing my best to avoid this place ever since 1989! Now I'm here, and no one will tell me why?! I'm done running, I just want to talk and try to negotiate with them!"

"Patton, it's not that easy. You must know that by now." Deceit stopped talking. "Patton?" Patton was crying. That's when Deceit really realized what he's been through.

"I just want my friends back..." He said, fighting through the tears. Deceit looked at him with a sorry expression.

"WHERE IS HE?!" Deceit heard this, and his heart started pounding.

"Come on!" Deceit said, grabbing Patton's hand. They started running as fast as they could. They could hear them getting closer. It was like they were running from death itself.

They came across two section doors. Deceit opened them. "Patton, in here!" Patton ran into the room, and Deceit followed and shut the doors behind them.

"Deceit-" Said Patton, out of breath.

"Down here!" Deceit interrupted. Deceit grabbed Patton's shoulders from behind and sat down in the corner of the room nearest to the door. Patton was practically laying on the right side of Deceit.

"Deceit-" Patton started, but was cut off again. With one swish of his left hand, Deceit silenced Patton by making him cover his own mouth up.

They saw two figures outside the door. There was a curtain outside in front of the glass, so they couldn't really see in. Deceit and Patton could only see dark silhouettes.

"It's not my fault! I left him in there all alone! It couldn't have possibly been me!" That voice... It's Neurosis.

"I don't care who it was!" The new figure began. "Morality takes priority. If you don't want to be in that cell for the next few decades, you'll find Serenity. He'll be more competent than you!"

He then walks off. Neurosis growls and walks off the other direction. Deceit releases Patton's hand. They both get up.

"Serenity..." Patton began. "Has he been with you this entire time?" Deceit looked confused at this.

"Yeah...?"

"Did you kidnap him, too?!" Patton said, angrily.

"What? No! He's on our side!" Deceit says. He seems to be telling the truth. "Do you know him?"

"We were friends. But then he disappeared. We didn't know where or why."

"Patton," Deceit begins, putting his hands on Patton's shoulders. "I need you to know something. You can't talk to those sides." Deceit said. Patton looks down in disappointment.

He looks around the room, and can hardly make out the details.

"Where are we?" Patton asks. Deceit pulls the chain attached to a light and the room becomes more clear. The whole room has a green-ish lighting. There are black, see-through sheets across the ceiling and walls. Other than that, It's kind of dull.

Everything looked completely debilitated and slightly abandoned.

"This is my room."

"How long am I gonna be in here?" Patton asked.
