"Patton?"

"Logan," They both meet in the most memorable hug they've ever shared. Patton has tears in his eyes, not fighting to hold them back, but Logan tries his best to stay strong. Roman approaches from behind and forms a group hug.

"I knew you would come back, Patton." Logan says, detaching from the hug.

"I knew, too." Patton says with his usual smile returning to his face. "Were you guys okay without your powers?"

"Yes, we managed to be okay." Roman says. Virgil walks past the doorway and glances in, when he sees Patton standing there, he becomes ecstatic.

"Oh my- Patton?" Virgil says, walking into the room.

"Virgil!" Patton exclaims. He runs up to Virgil, who is walking with his arms out and a smile on his face. Virgil wraps his arms around him and hugs him tightly.

"Are you okay? Did you get hurt or anything?" Virgil asks

"N-No, I'm fine." Patton says. Logan walks over to them.

"Why did you leave us?" Logan asks.

"Because I made him." Following Patton was Deceit, standing outside the door. He enters the room. Logan puts himself in front of Patton. Just in case...

"This is your fault." Virgil begins. "You had him this entire time!" Virgil hits him on the shoulder in anger.

"Hey, hey!" Deceit grabs the collar of Virgil's shirt as self defense. "Why don't we talk somewhere else?" Deceit says this, looking into Virgil's eyes, and Virgil knows he's in trouble. But he could not care less.

Deceit pushes Virgil into Patton's room. ""Looking out for him."" Virgil says, walking into the room and mimicking what Deceit said. Deceit closes the door. "LOOKING OUT FOR HIM?!" Yep. Virgil is pissed.

"Virgil, he was locked up in an empty room, waiting to have terrible things done to him, and I saved him."

"Oh, so what, You're his hero now?! You kidnapped him!"

"Yes, I did, okay?! I kidnapped him, but I brought him back here!"

"You say that as if you're completely innocent-"

"I'm not! But at least he's safe because of me!"

"So, what do you want me to do? Thank you?!"

"I'm not asking you to thank me, Anxiety!" Deceit hasn't called him by that name in a long time. He inhales and calms down again. "I'm just trying to ask you to understand."

"I don't! I don't understand!"

"I know, but, for his own good, don't blame Patton. He has a lot on his mind."

"I don't blame Patton, I blame you! I BLAME YOU!" Virgil starts hitting him again through tears in his eyes. Deceit steps back from the force. "You stupid disgusting liar!" Deceit grabs his arms.

"Hey, Hey, Stop! Virgil!" With inability to move his arms, he breaks down. He stands there, frustratingly crying. Deceit needs him to believe that he can trust him. Deceit hugs him, but Virgil refuses to hug him back.

The good thing is, them having a friendship feels familiar. Deceit hugs him tighter than he ever has. "I'm sorry." He was only lying partially that time, but he knew that's what Virgil wanted to hear.

"So, I woke up in this... room," Patton began, sitting on the couch with Logan and Roman. "And it kinda looked like an empty attic. Except for a mattress, I guess. Then Deceit came in and then Neurosis was there-"
