"I am brave,
I am bruised,
I am who I'm meant to be.
This is Me."
- Keala Settle.
___Ever since Demmie told me to be his P.A, anytime I decide not to answer him, he says 'that would be deducted from your salary', which makes Fiyin laugh. Well, he did a lot of stuffs in class and trust me, we had lots of cute moments that I'm not sharing. I sighted Lydia walking out of the class. I cleared my notes and followed her.
"Lydia!" I called.
"Yes?" She turned to me without a smile. Her eyes were red like she had been crying. She also looked a bit pale.
"We need to talk." I said, smiling to her as she forced a smile back to me. Yes, it was that obvious she feigned the smiled.
"Let's go to the Library." She said and we walked to the Library and sat in one corner.
Oh, so this is where she has been all day and I've been looking for her. Well, I kind of knew she'd be here, but just didn't feel like coming.
"Lydia, I don't want you to lie to me, okay?"
"Okay." She said and smiled a bit. This time, it was a real one.
"Tell me, what's wrong?"
"Nothing."
"I'm your twin sis. You shouldn't keep things from me."
"Honestly, nothing. I'm just not in a good mood." She replied, smiling back to me again, almost laughing.
"You can't decieve me and I won't leave here until you tell me what's wrong."
"Okay, what do you think is wrong?" She replied, now laughing as I also smiled. Not like I'm interested in smiling anyways, but I'm just enjoying the moment.
Think about it. What if she tells me I stole Demmie from her? Yes, they ain't dating but I've watched enough movies, where the bestie doesn't actually want explanations and just conclude that the other stole her crush.
"I don't know. That's why I'm asking you nah." I was already getting bored sef. If you want to talk, talk and let's end the issue. Which one is question and answer bayi. As I replied, we heard Demmie's voice in the Library.
"Mide, keep shut." He said. Demmie is the only person who calls me by my second name, Mide from Aramide. He claims Oluwademilade is too long for him.
I didn't answer him though I knew he was talking to me. I noticed Lydia's smile faded immediately into a frown at the sound of Demmie's voice. It was then I was assured that I was right from the start.
"Is it because of him?" I asked Lydia more silently this time.
"Maybe." She replied.
"And me right?"
"Maybe." She replied with a teary smile.
I sighed as I smiled to her. I was right. Just then, Demmie walked towards us with his earpiece on.
"Excuse me." He said to me as I shifted my leg and he walked inside the corner, sitting on the last chair there. Though he had his earpiece on connected to his phone, we still couldn't continue our discussion with him being here.
And in case you're wondering, we ain't allowed to use phone in our school. He actually brought it and it could get seized if seen by a teacher. Almost all guys in my class does that anyway.
"Demmie, please excuse us." I said to him.
"Nope."
"Please." I tried to beg him.
