The Game Of Wizard's Chess

"Where am i?" you said sitting up. "You're in the hospital wing. I'm Madam Pomfrey." Madam Pomfrey said. "Oh, how did I get here?" you questioned. "Hagrid brought you in, saying that you passed out after healing a dying unicorn." Madam Pomfrey said. "Oh, how long have i been out?" you asked. "3 days, just missing the end of year exams." Madam Pomfrey said. "Oh no! I hope dumbledore will let me take them." you worried. "No need. Dumbledore has pardon you from taking them." madam said. "(Y/N)!" harry yelled running to you with hermione and ron close behind. "Guys!" you yelled. "How are you? When are you being released?" hermione asked. "She will be released after I make sure she is ok." madam pomfrey said. "So, can i do that?" " oh, yeah." they said as madam close the curtain, so they couldn't see. After pomfrey was done, you where releashed. "So, tonight we're going to stop snape from getting the stone. Meet us at the door." harry whispered. "Ok, see you then." you said, walking down to the slytherin common room to get ready. "(y/n)!" draco called as you walked in. "oh, hey draco." you said not stopping. "Are you ok?" draco asked stepping in front of you. "Yes." you said, coldly, stepping around him. You walked into your dorm, grabbing your bag and filling it with things that might be useful. Like, your healing book, book of spells, and newt scamander's book, and waiting for the time.

At midnight you set out to the 3rd floor. After almost getting caught by ms. norris, you made it. "Ow! You stood on my foot!" hermione said, you pulled the cloak off them. "Hey, Alohomora." you said, unlocking the door. "Wait a minute...he's.... Sleeping." ron said. "Snape's already been here. He's put a spell on the harp." harry said."Uh. It's got horrible breath!" you said. "We have to move its paw." hermione said."What?!" ron said."Come on! I'll go first. Don't follow until I give you a sign. If something bad happens, get yourselves out...Does it seem a bit...quiet?"harry said, fluffy woke up. "The harp. It stopped playing." you said. Drool from one head comes down on Ron's shoulder. All four kids look up and see Fluffy standing there. Fluffy barks and growls, thrashing. It breaks the harp and dives at the four. They all jump through the trapdoor. Ron gasps as he lands on some mushy black ropelike vines. "Whoa. Lucky this plant-thing is here, really." ron said, The plant begins to move towards them, The plant ties them up. "Stop moving, both of you. This is Devil's Snare. You have to relax. If you don't, it will only kill you faster." you said. "Kill us faster?! Oh, now I can relax!" ron said, you and hermione get sucked down. "Girls!" the boys scream "Now what are we gonna do?!" "Just relax!" hermione said. "Hermione! Where are you?!" harry yelled. "Do what she said. Trust me." you yelled. Harry relaxes and is sucked through. Harry falls through and lands on the hard ground. Hermione goes over to him and he stands up. "I remember reading something in Herbology. Um Devil's Snare, Devil's Scare, it's deadly fun...but will sulk in the sun! That's it! Devil's Snare hates sunlight! Lumos Solem!" you say, ron falls. "You ok, ron?" harry asked. "Whew. Lucky we didn't panic!" ron said. "Lucky they pay attention in Herbology." harry said, There is a sound. "What is that?" you ask.

"I don't know. Sounds like wings." harry said. They enter into a room filled with golden "birds." "Curious. I've never seen birds like these." hermione said. "They're not birds, they're keys. And I'll bet one of them fits that door." harry said, They come upon a broomstick, suspended in the air. "What's this all about?" ron asked. "I don't know. Strange." you said. Ron creeps over to the door and takes out his wand. "Alohomora! Well, it was worth a try." ron tried. "Ugh! What're we going to do? There must be 1000 keys up there!" hermione complained. "We're looking for a big old fashioned one. Probably rusty like the handle." you say. "There! I see it! The one with the broken wing!" harry said, getting on the broom. "What's wrong, Harry?" hermione said. "It's too simple." harry said. "Oh, go on, Harry! If Snape can catch it on that old broomstick, you can! You're the youngest seeker in a century!" ron said. Harry nods and grabs the broom. All the keys suddenly go one direction, right at Harry. He climbs on, swiping at them. "This complicates things a bit!" ron said. Harry pushes off into the air. He flies off, after the key. The others follow him. Harry grabs the key. "Catch the key!" He zooms by and throws the key to Hermione, who catches it and heads for the lock while Harry distracts the other keys. Hermione puts it in the lock. "Hurry up!" you said. The door opens, and you all rush through, followed by Harry. They shut the door just as the keys slam up against it.

They enter a dark room, with broken pieces all around it. "I don't like this. I don't like this at all." hermione said. "Where are we? A graveyard." harry asked. "This is no graveyard. It's a chessboard." ron said as he Walks out onto the marble board and flames light, illuminating the board and GIANT players. Harry, you, and Hermione come up with him. "There's the door." you said. They walk across the board, towards the door. Suddenly, as they reach a line of pawns, the pawns bring up their swords. The four jump and back up. "Now what do we do?" you ask. "It's obvious, isn't it? We've got to play our way across the room. All right. Harry, you take the Bishop's square. Hermione, you'll be the Queen's side castle, (y/n) you be the middle pawn, As for me, I'll be a knight." ron said, They all take their places. "What happens now?" hermione said. "Well, white moves first, and then...we play." A pawn on the other side moves forward. Ron studies the game. "Ron, you don't suppose this is going to be like...real wizard's chess, do you?" you ask. "Lets see! D-5!" ron said. You move forward, diagonal to the white pawn. The white pawn raises its swords and smashes your piece as you jump off. "Yes, Hermione, I think this is going to be exactly like wizard's chess!" you yelled getting off the board to heal your leg, which got cut. The game continues. Pieces smash each other, boom! Boom! "Wait a minute." harry said. "You understand right, Harry. Once I make my move, the Queen will take me...then you'll be free to check the King." ron said. "No, Ron! No!" harry says. "What is it?" hermione said. "He's going to sacrifice himself!" you yell. "No, Ron, you can't! There must be another way!" hermione yells. "Do you want to stop Snape or not? Harry, it's you that has to go on. I know it. Not me, not Hermione, you. Knight...to H-3." ron said, Ron's horse moves forward, slides and stops. "Check." The Queen turns and advances. Ron breathes faster, clutching the steel reins. The Queen stops. SMASH! Ron goes flying off the horse and lands on the floor, unconscious. You get up and drag ron's body off the board and you start healing him. "RON!" The King's sword falls onto the ground victory. Harry breathes out and then the two run to Ron. They bend beside him. "Take care of Ron. Then, go to the owlery. Send a message to Dumbledore. Ron's right...I have to go on." harry says. "You'll be okay, Harry. You're a great wizard, you really are." hermione complaints. "Not as good as you." harry said. "Me? Books and cleverness? There are more important things. Friendship, and bravery. And Harry, just be careful." Harry nods and stands, walking away. After you're done healing ron, you pass out, again.
