Harry's Kiss

        October arrived, spreading a damp chill over the grounds and into the castle. Madam Pomfrey, the nurse, was kept busy by a sudden spate of colds among the staff and students. Her Pepperup potion worked instantly, though it left the drinker smoking at the ears for several hours afterward. Ginny Weasley, who had been looking pale, was bullied into taking some by Percy. The steam pouring from under her vivid hair gave the impression that her whole head was on fire, she still won't talk to harry. Raindrops the size of bullets thundered on the castle windows for days on end; the lake rose, the flower beds turned into muddy streams, and Hagrid's pumpkins swelled to the size of garden sheds. Flint's enthusiasm for regular training sessions, however, was not dampened, which was why you where to be found, late one stormy Saturday afternoon a few days before Halloween, returning to Gryffindor Tower, drenched to the skin and splattered with mud. Draco by your side.

Even aside from the rain and wind it hadn't been a happy practice session. As you and draco squelched along the deserted corridor, harry starting running to you, draco put his arm around you, protectively. "Hey, (y/n)! Can I speak to her alone." Harry stared daggers at draco. "See you at the common room draco." You stepped away from him. "What no-" draco was cut off by harry. "Here, (y/n) come with me." Harry grabbed your arm and pulled you away from draco, draco grabbed your other arm. "No, (y/n) come with me!" draco pulled you to him, they pulled to themselves. "Guys- your hurting me!" you pulled out of they grip. "Draco, go to the common room, I need to talk to harry." Draco walked away, murmuring something. "What is it harry?" You turned to him. "Did you see where his arm was?" harry stepped closer to you. "What do you mean?" you asked. "When I came up to you, his arm was around your waist." harry said. "What does that mean to you? What do you want?" You crossed your arms. "Well, I was asked by headless nick to go to his death day party, and I want to know it you would go with me." Harry rubbed the back of his neck. "Oh- yes i'll go with you." you looked harry in his green eyes. "Oh, well that's great." Harry looked back at you, he stepped closer, putting his arms around your waist, your arms went around his neck. He pulled you closer, and kissed you. The kiss was only 5 seconds, but it felt like the world melted away, like you and harry were the only people alive. When the kiss broke you just stared in the others eyes. "Did I beat Malfoy?" harry said, making you laugh. "God- harry- what do you mean?" you laughed. "Did my kiss beat malfoy's?" harry asked. "How do you know about that?" you stopped laughing. "Hermione told me, around a month ago, we were in the common room, she said it in passing." he said, smirking. "Oh, um, well, it was different from his, not best or worse, but different." You said. "Oh, so we're still equal?" harry asked. "Yes, now if I can go, draco will come find me if i'm gone longer." you walked away, to the slytherin common room.

"What did potter want?" draco asked, as you walked in the common room. "He asked me to go to Headless nick's deathday party." You walked over to your seat in the common room, which crabbe was sitting in. "Get up." crabbe got up and walked over to other chair. "What did you say?" draco put his book down on the common room table, giving you his full attention. "Yes, I said yes." you could feel blush on your cheeks. "Why did you say yes?" Draco's face was red with anger. "Because I want to go with my friend." You defended. "Crabbe, goyle, go to the dorm." Draco's voice was cold, crabbe and goyle went to their dorms. "We both know potter fannys you!" draco yelled. "How do you know that?" You asked. "Blaise told me he heard potter talking about plans to impress you with weasley!" Draco said. "Oh, well why does it matter?" You asked. "It matters that he- I don't want you to go!" draco fretted. "You don't own me!" You yelled. "What ever, just drop it." Draco looked at a window. "Is that your owl?" He ask. You looked at the window, and Charlie was peaking at it. You walked over to the window letting charlie in, who had a letter on his leg. "Whos the letter from?" draco asked. "Dumbledore." you opened the letter.

Dear, (y/n) 

Please come up to my office, I need to tell you something. The password is Jelly Beans. 

Headmaster, dumbledore.

"What does he he need to tell you?" draco asked. "I don't know." you said.

"Jelly beans." you said to the gargoyle. Dumbledore and snape where standing by dumbledore's desk. "Please sit (y/n)." dumbledore pointed to a chair. "What happened? What did I do wrong?" You asked. "Nothing, but I have some bad news." dumbledore said. "Well your parents where.....

CLIFFHANGER!!!! Sorry but I want to save in for next chapter. Sorry for the short chapter, I wanted a cliffhanger.
