Chapter 17

"Caroline! What happened?" Bonnie yelled as she was running back up the stairs. Rebekah beating her.

"I think Elijah's coming back. Well I saw things in my future. Let's just say he'll be there. I hope." I said, excitedly and worried.

"Care he's gone." Bonnie said.

"No! He'll be back. He won't leave me. He promised." I said, falling to the ground.

"Hey. We're heading back to New Orleans in three hours. Get some sleep before we go. Please." Stefan said, quietly.

"Okay." I said, letting the tears continue to fall as I walked to my room and grabbed the blanket I shared with Elijah.

*Flashback*

"That was nice, what you did for Rebekah." Elijah whispered to me watching the movie.

"Its okay. She deserves happiness too." I whispered looking over at her. She was cuddled under Stefan's arm, looking terrified as she watched the movie.

"Yes, she does. Every chance she's had of happiness, Niklaus has ruined it." He whispered as I put my head on his shoulder and closed my eyes.

"He won't this time. I won't let him."' I said quietly, squealing as Rebekah started screaming.

"No! Don't go in there! He's going to kill you! No!" Rebekah yelled hiding her head in Stefan's chest, while we laughed.

"Serves him right. He should have listened." I said laughing at the TV, and putting my head back on his shoulder. Then I started to drift off.

*End Of Flashback*

"Hmm. I miss you." I said, laying my head on my pillow going to sleep.

"How do I bring him back?" I asked.

"I can't tell you just yet." She said.

"Well when? I've done everything you told me to do." I said, shocked.

"Yes, and I appreciate that. But, he can not come back just yet." She said.

"Ugh!" I huffed in annoyance as I say up in bed.

"Ha. Breath" I said, trying to calm down.

"Care?" I heard Stefan say as he knocked on the door.

"You can come in." I said, sitting on the side if my bed.

"We're leaving in fifteen minutes. Do you need help packing?" He asked, sitting next to me.

"No. I only need my things I brought and my blanket." I said, standing and packing my things.

"Care it'll get better." He said, standing and helping me pack.

"He'll be back." I said, quietly.

"Care, he's gone." Stefan said, putting his hand on my shoulder.

"No!" I yelled and pinned him to the wall with my levitation.

"Caroline, let me down." Stefan said, slowly.

"He'll be back. I don't know when, but he'll be back. He's supposed to help me with the baby. He supposed to be with me." I said, seeing red.

"We are here to help you. I know how it feels." He said, quietly.

"No you don't! He's dead! You stopped loving Katherine when you were turned. Yes, Elena is with Damon.But, she's alive! He's not." I cried out, falling to the ground.

"I'm sorry." He said, quietly.

"Just leave. I'll finish packing my stuff and then I'll be down." I said, crawling to the side of my bed crying into it.

"Caroline." I heard Rebekah say quietly as she ran to me hugging me.

"I miss him." I cried.

"I know. I miss him too." She whispered, her own tears falling.

"How do you get over someone you loves death?" I asked, quietly.

"I never really get over it. But, it gets easier over time." She said, wiping a tear of her cheek.

"Hey, come on. Elijah would be really upset if he saw you like this. We need to get ready to leave, I can help you finish." She said, as she pulled me up.

"Okay." I said, quietly wiping my tears as I grabbed everything I packed previously.
