*Recap

"I think I will. Just maybe after some of our old enemies are gone." Elena said and I felt my mood go sour fast.

"Elena don't." Bonnie said.

"No, go on. Finish what you were saying." I said as I tilted my head to the side smiling sweetly at her.

"I love you, Care. But, I know you had a thing with Klaus. So, what I'm asking is. How is Elijah the father, when you slept with Klaus?" Elena asked while Bonnie glared at her.

"Elena now is not the time." Damon said trying to diffuse the situation.

"I don't believe that's any of your business." Rebekah said as she stepped beside me glaring at Elena.

"It is when it involves my best friend." Elena argued.

"It's fine, Rebekah. Elijah knows I was with Klaus, but I'm with Elijah now." I said. I looked over at Aurora who had ahold of Matt's finger as he smiled down at her and I felt my anger diminish.

"I think we've over stayed our welcome." I said and no matter how hard I tried I couldn't keep the sadness out of my voice. Matt walked over towards me and gently handed her to me and I sat down on the couch as I slid her coat back on, then placed her in the carrier.

"I've got her. Finish your goodbyes." Rebekah said and I nodded my head as her and Stefan walked out. I walked over to Matt and whispered to him.

"If you ever want to get out of Mystic Falls call me. I'll get you out free." I said and he nodded his head as he hugged me tightly. I gave Jeremy and Damon a hug goodbye telling each of them to protect my best friends. Then I walked over towards Tyler.

"If you ever need me, call me. Okay?" I asked.

"Sure. Goodbye Caroline." He said as he hugged me, then I walked over to Elena and Bonnie who had tears in their eyes.

"I'm sorry!" Elena said sadly.

"Me two! I love you guys!" I said hugging them as if it were our last.

"I love you, Care!" They both said in unison as I walked over to the door opening it. I sighed turning towards them and looking sadly at them then leaving. I walked over to the car as a single tear dropped down my face. I slowly slid into the seat beside Aurora as I rested my head on the handle of her seat looking at her little face.

"Are you all right, Caroline?" Stefan asked worried, but I just looked out the window as I let Aurora's little hand sit in mine. I'm leaving my friends and family. But, its what's best for Aurora. She'll meet them eventually. Although her safety is most important. I thought sad and determined.

"We're here, Caroline." Rebekah said as we were parked in front of her home in Mystic Falls. I sighed and swooshed outside of Aurora's car door and opened it as I unbuckled her carrier.

"Do you want me to get her?" Stefan asked hesitant.

"Um, sure. I need to talk to Klaus." I mumbled and walked inside as they grabbed Aurora.

"You need to speak to me?" Klaus smirked as I walked into his art studio holding in my gasp as I saw a painting of me.

"Why didn't you go, instead of Elijah?" I asked as we sat on his small couch.

"I don't know, Elijah decided. I'm assuming I stayed because I am stronger than him." He said unsure, shocking me.

"He decided?" I asked shocked.

"He did." He said as I left his studio. I sat down in the living room numbly as I rethought what Klaus just told me.

"Are you all right, Caroline?" Stefan asked as he sat beside me.

"Yeah. Where's Rebekah and Aurora?" I lied.

"I think you should come look for yourself." Stefan said smiling. I looked at him confused and smiled then jumped up holding onto his arm.

"Well lets go!" I laughed. We interlocked our arms as Stefan guided us upstairs to the room to the left of where I was staying at. I looked at him confused and he put his finger to his lips silencing me. He put his finger to his ear and I moved a piece of hair away from my ear listening in on the room. I heard the soft beat of Aurora's little heart and her soft breathing letting me know she was asleep. I then heard someone else's soft breathing and I knew Rebekah was with Aurora so I knew they had fell asleep together. I slowly reached my hand towards the doorknob and turned it. I gasped at what was before me. There was a little brown mahogany crib with a big light brown teddy bear in the corner of it as crystal chimes hung down from the ceiling overtop of the crib. The room was painted a light cream color, while white little painted clouds were at the top of the walls and painted stars on the ceiling. In a corner a white leather recliner where Rebekah was sleeping with Aurora in her arms. Under the window was an oak dresser filled with baby clothes, and on the dresser were handmade intricate designs. It looks beautiful. Even better than I thought I could ever make it. I thought happily.

"Do you like it?" Stefan whispered smiling.

"It's beautiful. Thank you." I whispered and he shook his head.

"I didn't do it." He said and I looked at him confused.

"Then who did?" I asked curiously.

"Klaus." He said.
