Chapter 20

So I want to tell you now. I don't know anything about delivering a baby. So I'll skip most of that. I'll try to let Elijah and Caroline talk before that, but she'll still be in pain. So this may not be the best chapter.

"So, what you're saying is, when I wake up I'm going to have my baby?" I asked, terrified and excited.

"Yes, but that is not the gift." She said.

"I feel like I'm talking to Kol right now. Are you going to tell me?" I asked, frustrated.

"Have a good day, Caroline." She smiled, disappearing.

End of Dream

"Ah!" I yelled, doubling over holding my stomach.

"Hey, it's alright. I'm here." A male voice said, picking me up bridal style.

"Elijah?" I asked, shocked looking at his face.

"Rebekah!" Elijah yelled, and she jolted awake shocked, only to look at me when I started screaming.

"Ahhhh! I'm gonna have the baby!" I yelled, gasping.

"Oh God! Elijah run to the hospital. Have Dr. Fell deliver the baby! I'll call her family. Go!" She rushed out and we ran to the hospital with me screaming or grunting holding on to him.

"I need Dr. Fell." Elijah said, still holding me while I screamed clutching onto his arm.

"Elijah bring Caroline in here." Dr. Fell said, as she ushered us into a room.

"You need to change into this nightgown." She said, walking out of the room. After having Elijah's help of getting my clothes off and laying on the bed I had on the nightgown. Dr. Fell rushed back in as Elijah said come in.

"Here, I'm giving you something for the pain." She said, as she injected the tubes in my arm.

"Elijah, your here." I whispered a tear falling down my cheek.

"I am. We can talk later, right now we have a baby to deliver." He smiled, holding my hand.

"Elijah, no you don't understand. Ahhh!" I screamed holding my stomach.

"It's okay. Tell me later." He said reassuringly.

"No. Seraphene changed the babies genetics. You're the Dad." I whispered, a tear falling down my face.

"That's great! But first we have to deliver the baby soon." He said, just as Dr. Fell and her medical staff ran in.

"You have a beautiful baby girl. Elijah do you want to cut the cord?" Dr. Fell asked.

"Yes, I do." He said, smiling and walking over to her cutting the cord. He picked her up after she was wrapped in her pink blanket.

"Are you ready to hold her?" Elijah asked, with joy on his face.

"Yes." I whispered, tiredly. He handed her to me, gently kissing my forehead.

"You're so beautiful." I whispered, kissing her head. She has Elijah's brown hair, my eyes, and light skin.

"Isn't she beautiful?" I asked looking up at Elijah while she squeezed my finger.

"Yes she is." He smiled.

"Your friends and family are outside. Do you want me to tell them to come in?" Dr. Fell asked. Elijah looked down at me and I smiled and nodded my head.

"Rebekah tell everyone they can come in." Elijah said, and Rebekah, Matt, Elena, Mom, Stefan, Bonnie, Kol, Mikael, Tyler, Jeremy, and Damon all came running in the room.

"She's beautiful Caroline. I'm so proud of you." Mom smiled, down at her.

"Congrats Barbie." Damon said, but he held a sincere smile, not his usual smirk.

"Congratulations Caroline." Tyler said.

"How is Elijah here?" Stefan asked.

"I'm an Aunt! I want to hold her." Rebekah said, looking down at her lovingly.

"She's gorgeous!" Bonnie said.

"I love her already!" Elena laughed.

'You did good Caroline." Mikael said.

"Now to corrupt the baby." Kol joked looking down at her.

"She's beautiful, Care." Matt said, smiling down at me.

"Congratulations Caroline." Jeremy said, smiling at Elijah and I along with the baby.

"So can I know my niece's name now?" Rebekah asked, smiling big at me.

"Aurora Nikole Mikaelson." I said, looking up at Elijah. I just laid there staring at her as she smiled up at me, and Dr. Fell walked in smiling at me.

"Caroline, I think you should get some rest." Dr. Fell said.

"No really, I'm fine." I said, trying to not show how tired I really was.

"Dr. Fell is right. You all can come and see her tomorrow. I'll answer all of your questions tomorrow." Elijah said, looking at them, then down to me, I only nodded my head.

"I love you, Caroline. I'll be here tomorrow. Get some rest." Mom said, as she kissed my forehead leaving the room, with most of the gang.

"Keep her safe, Elijah." Bonnie said, staring up at him.

"I will." He said.

"I love you. See you tomorrow." Bonnie said, leaving.

"I'll be here tomorrow to visit you and my niece. Love you!" Elena said following Bonnie.

"How are you here?" I asked, emotional.
