The night that followed the whole Reggie and Toni fiasco was a very long one for every person in Riverdale.

At around midnight, when every soul, well almost, was fast asleep, Toni and Veronica stayed awake, laughing hysterically at something that Veronica had said. See, Veronica had told Toni that having one drink of vodka was going to help her fill the void in her heart, so she did, she drank one, and then two, and three,four,five, and about six shots later, both of the girls sounded like five year olds having a sleepover . Toni was about to fall off of Veronica's bed due to how much she was laughing and Veronica could barely stand up from all the laughter in her gut. It felt good for Toni to laugh like that, she had almost forgotten about Reggie.

Key word: Almost

"Wait wait, you did what?"

Toni could barely speak and she was stumbling on her own words

"I-I fell into it"

Veronica wasn't any better at speaking than Toni if we're being honest

Toni had probably already forgotten what they were talking about but she didn't have to remember, she just kept laughing and laughing and the room filled up with giggles. Toni was rolling off the edge of the bed and couldn't help herself from falling anymore, she let out a small shriek as she tipped out of the covers and almost landed hard on the floor when Veronica caught her and pulled her back up, at this point the room went silent and the laughter faded

"I got you"

Veronica let out under her breath and before Toni could even reply, the raven haired girl leaned in to Toni and locked lips, the taste of Vodka filled both of their mouths and not one of them pulled away, Veronica pulled Toni closer by the waist and pushed her tongue into her mouth, letting Toni taste the strong taste of alcohol even more than she already was. The kiss lasted about thirty seconds before Toni pulled away with utter shock and disbelief

"So um...how was that, did you like it? I know-"

Veronica didn't even have the time to finish her sentence before she got interrupted by Toni, still as shocked as she was to begin with

"I-I-I'm so-sorry i-i'm just going to go, th-thank you for everything"

Toni grabbed her bag still filled with her school things and jumped off from the bed, she quickly located the door and tried her hardest to walk towards it

"Toni wait-w-wait please come back i'm sorry, i'm sorry i didn't mean it, i can't let you go out like this, you can barely walk, i just can't"

The pink haired girl walked even faster and twisted the doorknob to leave the girl's room, as she got out she sped to the staircase and ran concentrated as much as she could to walk down the steep steps

"Toni please come back, you can sleep in the guest room, it's midnight you can't-"

Veronica was cut off by the loudest yell she had ever heard

"I'M FINE VERONICA, I CAN MANAGE ON MY OWN I'M NOT A BABY, JUST LEAVE ME ALONE, I'M LEAVING"

Veronica was too scared to answer and rushed over to help Toni get down the steps

"Okay, just please go straight home, be-be safe, i'm sorry"

Toni didn't respond and as soon as they reached the door, the pink haired girl pushed it open and left out in the dark without even saying goodbye, Veronica looked at her walk away until her shadow wasn't visible anymore.

Toni was alone, in the dark, at night, drunk and lonely.
