The sound of tires screeching against the pavement echoed around the whole Blossom mansion, and the smell of anger filled the air as Toni Topaz got off from her huge bike and practically stomped to the even bigger house. Her whole body shaking and her head almost about to explode with a million thoughts running through her head, was her best friend really in love with her?

Her small legs quickly brought her to the entrance of the redhead's house and the girl didn't even bother knocking, the door swung open and the small pink-haired girl walked in and instantly screamed her best friend's name

"CHERYL? CHERYL WHERE ARE WE NEED TO TALK NOW!"

Soon enough, the girl appeared from the living room, practically shaking, not knowing what to say

"so um, how did the date go"

Toni barely listened to what Cheryl had just said and went straight to the point

"CHERYL DO YOU HAVE A CRUSH ON ME?"

The whole room went silent as the redhead's face went as red as her hair, no one spoke and Toni just stood there waiting for an answer

"CHERYL?"

After a couple of minutes of silence, and a million thoughts running through both girls' minds, Cheryl spoke up

"To-Toni, i-i'm sorry I just...i can't help it b-but I'm working on it and i c-completely understand if you d-don't want to-"

"Oh my god"

Cheryl's sentence was cut off by the sound of Toni talking under her breath and moving closer and closer to the redhead

"No Toni I-I promise i'll cut my feelings for you, its no-not what you think, I'll even stop hanging out with you, just please, please don't hate me"

Cheryl couldn't even look at Toni in the eyes anymore as warm tears ran down her blushed cheeks and waited for Toni to just start screaming again, but she didn't, and to be honest what she did do was actually very unusual because a couple of seconds later, Toni was standing so close to Cheryl that she could feel her warm breath on her neck as Toni got closer and closer to her ear until she was close enough to say something ever so faint but Cheryl would still be able to hear it

"To be honest Cheryl, I don't think I've ever loved you more than I do right now"

And before the redhead even got the time to react, Toni moved her lips to Cheryl's and fireworks erupted in both of girls' stomachs. Their lips connected and it was as if they were never going to part, the sweet taste of strawberries filled Toni's mouth as mint filled Cheryl's, both girls got closer as they held each other by the waist and it was like it wasn't even real, it was too good to be true. Their lips moved together as they both let out soft moans of approval and after a couple of minutes, Cheryl parted her lips and let Toni's tongue in, making the taste of mint even stronger and the moans even louder. Nothing made sense but it didn't have to, it was just perfect, the way everyone fell together and the pieces finally connected, and neither wanted it to end.

Toni ended up pushing Cheryl against the wall which lead to her moving her lips down to her pulse point, softly sucking on it but enough to leave a mark, soon enough, Cheryl softly pushed Toni away and tried to get a hold of what was happening as she tried to let words out but she just couldn't, it's like she wasn't mentally capable and her brain couldn't properly function.

As she was about to say something and opened her mouth to let words out, she felt the now familiar soft feeling of lips pressed against hers, swallowing her moans and what she was about to say before the leps disconnected once again

"don't say anything, I don't want this moment to end"

Cheryl saw the small kid in Toni, she saw the vulnerability and the softness, and she was in love, they both were, even if they didn't want to admit it, and they both had been for a long time

So they connected lips once again, not wanting the moment to end and making it last as long as possible because facing reality would be too scary and difficult, but the truth was, they were in love.
