Chapter 22
June 4th
Adam was glad that he had had a productive study day today, and it was four in the afternoon so he decided it was time to stop. He also decided that it was time to tell Isabella and Nicole about his tattoo because he didn't want them finding out second hand.
The only problem was the fact that he didn't know how to tell the girls. The only thing he could think of was telling them in the same way that he told his parents.
Maybe they would have reacted in the same way.
Hopefully.
Adam packed up his books, said goodbye to Bas and then headed out the door. He wasn't sure who he was going to tell first, but it would be better to go to Isabella's house first. Adam knew that there would have been a chance that Nicole would be there seeing Destiny, and Adam didn't want to have to repeat himself.
Adam said goodbye to his parents and headed for his car. Before he started his car, he pulled out his mobile and gave Tasha a ring. He could have used her support right now.
"Hi," said Tasha when she answered the phone.
"Hey," replied Adam, "do you feel like going for a drive?"
"A drive?"
"Yeah. I am going to tell Isabella and Nicole about the tattoo."
"And you can't do that by yourself?"
"No."
"Are you scared?"
"Will you laugh if I say yes?" asked Adam.
"No," replied Tasha.
"So, will you come?"
"Okay, I will come with you. But you have to do the talking. I'm not doing it for you."
"I know I do," said Adam, "I just wish I knew what I was going to say."
"Just do what you did with your mum and dad," replied Tasha.
"That's what I was thinking."
"Good. So, when will you be here?"
"Soon. I am leaving now."
"Okay. Don't be long."
"I won't. I will see you soon."
Adam then started his car and made his way to his girlfriend's house, happy that Tasha agreed to come with him. Maybe if the girls were with the horses, Adam could hide behind them. He could have used them for protection and that put a smile on his face. Adam couldn't help but laugh at himself.
Before long, Adam stopped his car out the front of Tasha's house and she quickly came out and settled down in the front passenger seat. When Tasha was settled, Adam continued on his way to Isabella's house and it wasn't long before they were. Adam sighed with relief when he saw the paddock. Both girls were there, but there was another girl who Adam didn't know.
Tasha held Adam's hand as they made their way around to the paddock, "you can do it," she said, "Isabella is your best friend and I know you won't lose her over something as minor as this."
"I hope you are right," replied Adam.
"I always am."
Adam smiled and still hand in hand, she and Tasha walked around to the paddock. The horses looked at the both of them when they came. Adam still wasn't very fond of horses but they could have come in handy if he needed to hide behind them. Isabella and Nicole smiled a hello to their friends and the third girl who was now introduced as Hannah by Isabella.
