Chapter 25
June 13th
The next Thursday, Tasha was over the moon. She was so happy that her exams were finished and she was so excited. She just needed to wait for her results now and she was nervous and exited at the same time. But now she was on her holidays and there was so much she wanted to do.
It was time to see her friends.
"Adam," said Tasha, "I think it is time we catch up with our best friends."
Adam nodded his head and looked at Tasha, "yeah," he replied, "I think so as well."
With that, Adam and Tasha decided that they would go to their favourite café. They called Nicole and Isabella and organized to meet there, the girls only too happy to come.
And it didn't take everyone long to get there.
"What's been going on," said Nicole as she and her friends sat down.
Adam and Tasha hadn't told Isabella and Nicole what had gone on. Tasha had been kept in the loop and she found out that Stan was furious that Mr and Mrs Little kicked her out of the family. That made Tasha smile, and Chloe also said that she wanted a friend in the family.
That friend would be Tasha.
Tasha didn't know how she felt about helping someone with a teenage pregnancy, but she decided that she would do all that she could.
Adam looked at Tasha and then he looked at the girls, "a lot," he said.
"Obviously. You haven't spoken to us in, like, a week," replied Isabella, "where have you both been?"
"Dealing with family stuff."
"Is everything okay?"
"Sort of."
"What's been happening?"
"You know my little brother, Stan?" asked Adam.
The girls nodded.
"He's got himself a girlfriend."
The girls smiled.
"That's so sweet," said Isabella.
Adam just smiled, "maybe, but both of them have to do a lot of growing up now."
"Why? What's happened?"
"Stan's girlfriend, Chloe, was in an accident last week, and her parents died."
Tasha could see that that resonated with Isabella. She had been in a similar situation. She had lost her parents in a car crash when she was in year ten and she had to adjust to life without them.
At least she didn't have to deal with teen pregnancy on top of that.
"And Chloe is also pregnant," Adam finished.
Nicole and Isabella's jaws dropped to the floor.
"Are you serious?" asked Isabella.
Adam nodded.
"Your little brother is going to be a dad?"
Adam nodded again.
"How do you feel about that?"
"It's weird. You know, I always thought that because I was the oldest, I'd be the one getting married and having kids first. That's something that I want, but I also don't want to be a teen dad," said Adam.
The girls fangirled over that.
Tasha wasn't sure what to think.
But she did know how much she loved Adam.
