CHAPTER 5- ELEVATOR

ARIANNE POV

***Mall***

Why do I have this feeling that I’ve been cursed by someone?

Akala ko kapag lumabas kami at pumunta sa isang lugar na masaya ay magiging matino din ang araw ko. And as you thought. It really went great, guess what? We are here stock in an elevator, with no other people but us----- Ivy and I, how great is that, huh?       

“What shall we do again?” Ivy asked.

The elevator is closed and don’t have specific time when it’ll open! Huh! Funny! Funny! Funny! Very! Very! Very! =___=+++

“I don’t know either…….I just can’t….. Ughh!” I answered her.

I sat down on one edge of the elevator, closed my eyes (__ __) Why does the world need to punish us for doing nothing?

“Aevan? Do you have something in mind?” I heard her whispered. I shrugged even though she can’t see me. I don’t dare bring out my phone. Alam ko namang walang signal, lalo lang akong maiinis kapag nagkataon.

I closed my eyes and this time I gather something inside my mind that can help both of us when something tickles my right leg. 0_0 is there a spider in here?

“Oh gosh! Get off me!” I shouted while jumping.

“Why are you shouting and jumping?” Ivy asked.

“There’s a spider on my leg. Remove it, I beg you,” I said.

“Will you stop that? Paa ko yun,” She said.

“Oh? Baliw ka! Tinakot mo ako!”

“Sorry naman.”

Minutes of silence and then……

“I have an idea!” I exclaimed.

“What is it?” She asked.

“Take your heels off your feet and follow my lead, okay?” I heard her say yes. I took mine and gracefully walk to the side of the elevator. Pinagpapalo ko ang metals na nakapalibot dito. Thanks to my wonderful spiders, I had this cool idea. After all, hindi naman pala masama ang ugali nila, napapakinabangan din ang nakakatakot nilang face kagaya ngayon. Iniimagine ko na maraming gagamba na nakapalibot ngayon sa akin kaya todo ako sa paghampas sa dingding.

Afterwards, Ivy does the same. Binabawi ko na ang mga sinabi ko sa isip ko kanina, masaya rin pala ang makulong sa elevator kasama ang matalik mong kaibigan. We shout, laugh, sing and dance inside the elevator. It’s another new experience for both of us.

“May tao ba diyan?”someone suddenly asked behind the close door.

Oh my! Oh my!

“We’re here!” I shouted.

“May tao dito!” Ivy shouted.

And even I find it odd. Sinabi ko pa rin sa kanya ang gusto kong gawin.

“Ivy, picture tayo,” sabi ko saka inilabas ang phone ko.

“Tse! Ikaw na lang. Baka mamaya may photobomber pa diyan,” sabi niya na nakapagpataas ng balahibo ko sa batok. Hindi ko na nagawa pang sumagot sa biro niya. All I can hear is myself screaming! May kumulbit sa akin! Waaaaaaaahhhh Sino yun eh nasa kabilang dulo si Ivy.
