Dylan hadn't been able to sleep well after that...thing with Leo, but he still was getting ready to go to the Leo's house. He had said he would, even if there is going to be some awkward tension between them on his birthday.

His performance was at 5:00 so he thought he could spend some time at Leo's before going.

"OK, what should I wear?" Dylan stood only in his boxers after taking a shower, a few water droplets running down his neck and toned stomach.

Dylan opened his closet and looked through all the clothes he owned. Before he would just grab the first pair of jeans he could find, any old T-shirt and sneakers with no problems. But today had to be the day where he was having trouble picking clothes.

"Why is this so hard!" Dylan said before folding his arms and frowning.

It had taken him an hour for him to finally pick suitable clothes: a blue and red checkered shirt under a denim jacket. He also had black jeans with red sneakers. Dylan topped it with a baby blue beanie. Dylan sure did love his beanies.

"Damn it, I don't have much time!" Dylan grabbed one of his small black backpacks and rushed downstairs. Leo had texted him saying that he would pick him up at 12. It was 11:56, and he hasn't eaten breakfast yet.

A loud honk came from outside as Dylan got downstairs.

"Screw breakfast!" Dylan picked up the 80 dollars from yesterday and the house keys from the coffee table before rushing to the door.

Just as he closed and locked the door, Dylan heard his phone ring.

"Ugh! Who is it?" Dylan moaned, answering the phone.

"Oh, well somebody isn't in a good mood." A recognizable girls voice said playfully through the phone.

"Hey Linda, I can't talk right now. I'll see you at 5:00!" Dylan was about to cut off.

"Wait! The performance time has changed. It starts tomorrow night and at 3:00."

"Oh! Why?"

"The venue is hosting a cabaret that's raising money for... Something that's seems to be more important than us. "

There was an awkward silence before Dylan began talking, "Oh, come on, It's not like it's not happening at all, so stop overreacting." Dylan began to jog to Leos car. "Well, same time tomorrow?"

"Um, yeah...and...happy birthday." Linda said apologetically before hanging up.

Leo opened the car door, "What's wrong, dude?"

Dylan looked at him and gave Leo a fake smile, "Nothing's wrong." Dylan went round and got into the car.

"Hmm...well, let's head off then." Leo looked at Dylan uncertainly before driving.

There was some awkward silence, until Dylan began to speak.

"Well, I don't have to leave your house early today." Dylan grinned.

"Oh, that's good." Leo smiled and carried on driving.

He hasn't even said happy birthday to me. How can he forget, I told him not too long ago. Dylan frowned sadly. Its not like I'm not used to it anyway. I DON'T CARE! Dylan began to grunt quietly as he thought angrily.

"Are you okay there?" Leo asked him, not taking his eyes off the road.

"I'm fine!" Dylan said aggressively. Shit! I never get this worked up. What's wrong with me?!

"Doesn't sound like it." Leo answered calmly, despite Dylan aggressive response. "Why don't we put on the radio, I'm sure music will make you feel better."

Leo went to turn on the radio and the music blasted on unexpectedly.

"WOW!" Leo shouted before turning down the volume dial. "Sorry."

Dylan began to smile as he heard the music. "Oh! This is the Official Top 40!" He nodded to the current song. "This is Jessie J's recent song!I LOVE this song!!" Dylan's smile sprang back as he sung the lyrics. "She gotta booty like a Cadillac, but I can send you into overdrive!..."

Leo chuckled as he watched Dylan sing and wriggle along to the song in his chair. "If its new, how do you know the words?"

"I rule music!" Dylan smirked before carrying on singing.

Leo managed to sneak a few glances at Dylan as he drove the last few blocks.

He really loves music! Dylan's so cute, I love how his glossy brown hair bounces! Its so tempting to move it off of his face and stroke his beautiful smooth skin! I could just lean in and...wait! What? Stop Leo, stop!

Leo turned the last corner and parked outside the house.

Before Dylan was about to get out of the car Leo turned to him and said "Happy birthday mate. Oh yeah and good luck."

"Whyyyyyyyyyy...?"

"Aha. Sisters."

Dylan laughed " Oh yeah. I should be worried."

They both got out of the car and walked up to the dark green door with a cursively written 7 on the front.

Dylan took a deep breath as Leo got out his keys.

Don't mess this up Dylan. This is your first actual birthday party. Don't be like Bella in twilight. She mucked that up big time.

This thought made him smile as the door opened but was made even bigger when he was bombarded by four young children.

Dylan got pull to the kitchen by the twins who were bouncing about and being hyper, but he stopped dead at the kitchen doorway, making leo walk into his back.

"Dude what's wrong?" Leo asked

Dylan stood there looking at the kitchen. The lights were off and a flickering glow came from the centre of the table. They had made a cake for him.

"It's just.... It's just...just nobody has made me a cake before..." An explosion of emotions came from inside him and tears started rolling down his cheeks. He's never really been thought of and cared for he realised and that made him feel hugely grateful for Leo.

Leo was about to tap Dylan on the shoulder but Dylan twisted around and hugged him, burying his head into Leo's shoulder.

Leo's arms were hung out to the side loosely with surprise but he soon recovered himself and started to pat Dylan's back.

"You okay man?"

"This is my first ever birthday party. Thank you so much. I'm very grateful. "

He pulled away smiling and wiped his face. "Sorry. Your shirt might be wet." He laughed and so did Leo.

"Don't worry about it man. How about we go and have cake?"
