The school months passed quickly and summer drew closer. Leo and Dylan were sitting outside the school on the last day before the summer holidays singing along to music as Dylan stopped the music and turned to Leo saying "oh yeah dude, remember the trip to Spain? Are you still free?"
"Of course bro." He smiled his perfect smile "I said I'd come so that what I'm gonna do."
Dylan snickered. "Awesome. Well we will leave in two days. Yus?"
"Yep"
Dylan couldn't wait.

In the days leading up to the flight Leo seemed to become increasingly nervous
I'm going to have to tell him at some point. Before..... Or after......
He shook his head. When the time comes. I'll tell him. He thought.

Leo looked over at Dylan who was driving them to the airport.
"This is going to be so exciting! But wow you look tired. Didn't sleep much?"
Dylan glanced over at Leo and yawned as if to prove his point.
"Yup. Was packing last minuet." He laughed "I guess I could always sleep on the plane."
The airport was as all airports are: justly, sleepy and exciting all at the same time. Oh yeah and there was also a lot of waiting in lines, but walking up the stairs to the plane and finding your seat gives it all some closure Leo thought while they had finally found their seats. "Bagsie the window seat!" He hopped in and sat down laughing at Dylan when he said "look dude maybe that's a family word but I've never heard the word 'bagsie'"
Leo looked incredulously at him before shaking his head and shrugging his shoulders. "Doesn't mean it doesn't count. I get this seat." He noises triumphantly and let Dylan sit next to him.
They both stared out of the window as the airplane casually turned into the runway. The host-guy standing at the front talked about health and safety but nobody seemed to be listening. Probably because everyone's so tired. Leo thought. Well it is 5am.
Suddenly the plane lurched forward and accelerates up the runway. In no time it had taken off, the wheels had folded in and the houses below became almost comically small.
Leo was staring in wonder out of the window when he felt something resting on his shoulder.
"Yes?" He asked. When he got no answer he turned around and a smiled. Dylan was so exhausted he had already fallen asleep. His head resting on Leo's shoulder.
Leo felt extremely happy as he looked at Dylan's peaceful face. His mouth was slightly open and his chest rose and fell rhythmically.
Wow. He's beautiful.
Leo didn't even apologise for this thought. He knew it was true. Suddenly the early morning and late night caught up with him and he yawned. Slowly, he restated his head on Dylan's and fell asleep. Not even caring what others might think.

Turbulence woke Dylan up and he sat up and stretched. He realised he had been lying on Leo's shoulder and smiled, embarrassed. Leo's head rested on the window and, even, in his peaceful sleep, he seemed to be smiling.
This was when he realised his fingers were laced with Leo's. Hastily he pulled his hand away but he realised he didn't want to.
Just then a ding went off, to signal the seatbelt light going off, and then a voice over the intercoms said "We will be landing soon so all window blinds must be up, all seat belts on and all armrests down." At this announcement Leo opened his eyes and sat up, stretched and yawned just as Dylan had. The announcement was repeated in Spanish.
"Good morning dude!" He laughed "We're here!.... Well, almost." Dylan laughed.
Leo returned the good mood and said "We just have to touchdown!" Leo motioned with his hands, in the shape that looked like a turtle but was probably supposed to be a plane, a touchdown going "whooooosh." As he did.
Dylan poked the place where the 'plane' landed-which happened to be Leo's knee- and said "Spain! But first of all, that looked like a turtle. Not a plane."
Leo laughed "Oh well. That's how those fish got around in Finding Nemo, isn't it?"
Dylan shrugged, Leo shrugged and they both burst out laughing.
