Word had spread about Dylan's Spanish trait all the way down to the freshman, up to the seniors.
"How can being half Spanish be so interesting?" Dylan asked as the both Leo and himself walked out of the school grounds.
Leo and Dylan had always found themselves together since the physics lesson. Over the past week, nothing eventful had occurred, unless you count the sudden "attack" of females surrounding him in between lessons every day eventful...
"Hey, Dylan!" The same brunette that he kept on "bumping into" many times walked towards him cheerfully.
"Hi." Dylan didn't even bother to remember her name. He gave up avoiding her not too long ago.
" So...are you doing anything today?" She kept on grinning from ear to ear, twirling her hair with her finger.
"Yeah." Dylan put in his headphones and walked off, Leo walking next to him.
"BYE!!" The brunette turned and waved eagerly as Dylan and Leo walked
Leo chuckled, "Well you blew her off harshly." He turned to Dylan and smirked.
"Well, she's a stalker, I'm not gonna get involved with one...or anyone else." Dylan turned to Leo and removed his headphones.
Every time Dylan tried to look at Leo, he'd always avoid Leo's eyes. It made him feel something that he didn't feel familiar with. Dylan would look at Leo's chin, his forehead or his neck. Maybe his chest, but never his eyes, not since the first day.
"So, have you got anything planned?"
"Not, really."
"Well why don't you come over to my house?"
Dylan's eyes widened as he heard Leo's words. "Really?!" He turned to Leo and placed his hand on Leo's shoulder. But, Dylan forgot to avoid his eyes...
Oh shit! Dylan felt himself getting hot and cold as he stared into Leo's eyes. They stared at each other for quite a while, or maybe not. They couldn't tell.
Leo was the first to break away. "Haha...well. Is that a yes?" Leo felt his cheeks burn as he turned away.
"Um...yeah. I'd love to come." Leo and Dylan were already in front of Leo's car.
"Well, let's go."
Leo rushed round to the passenger seat and opened the car door for Dylan. "Thanks, dude." Dylan smiled sheepishly before getting in.
Leo got in and began the engine.
The ride began with an awkward silence. Dylan's solution: headphones. He closed his eyes and leaned back as he felt the pop music stream into his ears.
Dylan felt a tapping on his shoulder after 3 songs. "..ey, hey dude." Leo's voice became clearer as Dylan removed his headphones. "What do you listen to?"
Dylan began to panic mentally. Oh no, I can tell him I listen to pop music. He'll react like everyone else did.
"Um, just...songs." Dylan replied dumbly.
Leo chuckled, "Well, yeah. I mean what type of music. What genre?"
Dylan racked his brain for an excuse. Wait a minute, why do I care so much. I never have, so why now. If Leo reacts like everyone else, then so what. Dylan cleared his throat before speaking. "I listen to all types, but pop music mostly."
Dylan awaited the harsh comments to come from Leo. He stared at Leo's lips, getting ready for them to move. His lips look quite soft. I wonder what they feel like. Dylan's eyes widened at his thoughts. What the fuck! What's wrong with me! Dylan moved his head round to look at the window.
"Could I listen?"
Dylan turned his head to round fast. "What?"
Leo became flustered, "Oh, if you don't want me to then that's OK."
"What, no. I don't mind. I'm just surprised your not insulting me."
"Why would I insult you?"
"Well," Dylan became quiet, "when I tell other people that I enjoy pop music, they called me a faggot and stuff. They say that I'm a guy and that I shouldn't listen to 'chick music'." Dylan looked into his lap and fiddled with his phone.
"Well they're stupid to think that." Dylan looked at Leo in surprise. "They have no right to judged anyone. If I was there, I would have protected you from idiots like that." Leo turned away. Dylan managed to see a flash of pink show on Leo's cheeks.
"Um, thanks." Dylan unplugged his headphones, smiling. "This is my favorite song." Dylan began to play Tightrope.
Dylan and Leo began to hum to the song, soon Dylan was singing every lyric, hitting every note, as they rode down the peaceful road. As the song was finishing, Leo stopped the car outside a three story house.
"Your pretty good at singing." Leo looked at Dylan as he took off his seatbelt.
Dylan blushed as he took of his seatbelt. "Thanks." Leo was shocked to see Dylan smile truthfully, not his little smirks or sheepish smile, but his true smile. He looks cuter. Leo blushed as he heard his thoughts. Huh, did I just think that?
Leo shook his head before getting out. "Be careful Dylan, I have quite a lot of siblings. The girls are gonna definitely gonna try and attack you. Since your so cute, of course."
Dylan's coughed at Leo's comment. He blushed as he touched his face and fixed his beanie. He thinks I'm cute? Dylan smiled as he messed around with his small side fringe coming out of his beanie. Wait, that doesn't matter. Dylan, stop being weird.
"Well, let's get in." Leo opened the door to hear a scream erupt from the building.
"WHO'S THE CUTE BOY, LEONARDO?" A girl came sprinting towards Dylan.
"Um, hi. I'm Dylan." He removed his beanie and fixed his brown, glossy hair.
"Well, hi." The girl grabbed his hand and inspected it. "Wow, your hands are so soft. Your fingers are so long and slender. Do you play piano?"
Leo growled and slapped the girl's hand. "Don't do that, Bella, and haven't I told you to call me Leo?"
Bella messaged her hand, "Ow!"
Dylan heard many heavy footsteps come down the steps.
Two other girls and one other young boy came running down the stairs.
"Oh, great." Leo sighed.
