"Tastes like apples,
looks like bananas"Bananas taste like bananas but now some taste like apples.
So is the banana still a banana?
Apples look like apples but now some look like bananas.
So is the apple still an apple?
The taste of the yellow fruit
Could be recognised from sight
But the golden curve
Becomes foreign after first bite.~•~
Really though, when I first saw those "banana apples" at a grocery store, it actually made me giggle. Then proceed to have an existential crisis of what constitutes as a banana or apple, which inspired this poem. As always, please leave a comment(civil one) about what you thought about this poem or whatever comes to mind (maybe there's other fruit frankensteins out there that you've encountered)Tomorrow once again!
