The Hogwarts Express
Helena
Zaelie, Caedis, and Helena had searched the train for a half-hour when they entered a compartment with two boys sitting in it. One had ginger hair and was stuffing his face with candy. Helena thought that was pretty revolting but still had the urge to do the same. The other boy was leaning back, relaxing, as he saw the ginger filling himself up. He picked up a jelly bean from a carton that said “Bertie Botts Every Flavor Beans” and spit it immediately back out. “Bleh! I think that one was worms!”
“How would you know what worms taste like?” the ginger haired boy asked interestedly.
“My cousin forced me to eat some once. It wasn’t pretty.”
Zaelie sneezed. They looked up, just noticing that Caedis, Zaelie, and Helena were standing there. The boys blushed, seeing the three girls there. Caedis and Helena looked wickedly amused at the two. Zalie, however, was on track, and gave a sharp look to the two girls, signaling them that they had to focus.
Helena composed herself, but still had that glint in her eyes. Caedis, however, was completely at ease, and stood with her right leg bent, and her left leg straight. Her arms were crossed over her chest.
“So, worms, huh?” She asked in a teasing tone, trying to keep the smile out of it. Another look of disgust passed the black-haired boy’s face. Helena could tell the redhead was wondering if his cousin actually did that to him. She pressed her lips together to keep from burst out laughing. Zaelie’s smile grew wide, but quickly faded.
“Have you guys seen a cat anywhere?” She asked in a worried voice. “I just lost mine. I can’t find her anywhere!” She started to panic. The boys shook their heads and apologized politely.
“Zaelie,” Caedis started, but the redheaded girl didn’t notice. “Zaelie. Zaelie! ZAELIE! Dear God, woman, do you have hearing problems?” Zaelie looked at her, fear for her cat in her eyes.
“Zaelie, c’mon! Let’s go look for Sussi somewhere else.” Helena sighed thinking, Seriously, how long is this going to take? They turned and walked out the compartment.
“Oh, by the way, look for the label on the back. That’s what I always do with every flavor jelly beans. Works like a charm, which I suppose, we will be learning. Peace!” Caedis told the boys teasingly before leaving. She gave them the universal code for peace, and jogged lightly to catch up with her friends.
“Wait, did you say you were looking for a cat?” The girls turned around. It was the ginger haired boy, poking his head out of the compartment. “One ran in here, like, ten minutes ago. It scared my rat half to death.” He turned back into the compartment and came out thirty seconds later holding a fluffy, gray striped cat.
“SUSSI!!!” Zaelie shrieked so loudly that some people poked their heads out of their compartments. Helena, Caedis, and Zaelie all gave them looks until they went back inside. Even the black-haired boy came out, and gave them a questioning look. “Thank you sooooooooo much!”
“Calm down Zaelie, it’s just a cat.” Helena muttered.
“Right, sorry.” They walked back to their compartment, which was, of course, all the way on the other side of the train. As they were walking, Helena noticed the food trolley stopped in front of the compartment right before theirs.
“Thank god!” She exclaimed. Caedis chuckled. The three girls took out their money pouches, although Zaelie looked a little confused on how to spend hers.
“Don’t worry, I’ll help you,” Helena whispered to her, seeing the confused expression on Zaelie’s face. Caedis got a Chocolate Frog-which frankly, freaked Zaelie out, as she hated frogs-Cauldron Cakes, and some chocolate. Helena got a few Chocolate Frogs, and Licorice Wands. Zaelie decided to risk it, and got a bag of Bertie Bott’s every flavor beans.
