Legolas x reader and other unfortunate happenings

Ah, yes, blankets and misery and medicine and pain. You were sick as fuck, and not in the fun way. It was the sniffles and headaches and just enough pain to make you feel like utter crap but to be petty if you complained. 

Luckily, you had the best doctor ever on your side. Well, that was a lie, he's awful at medicine, but Legolas did make you feel better, so that counts, right? 

Currently, you had the thickest and heaviest blanket you could find wrapped around your shoulders as you laid on the floor in a fetal position. Your head was resting on Legolas' lap, and you were whining. Well, you weren't actually saying any words, just incoherent "EhhhhhhhhEEEEHHHHHHHH" Came from you whenever you felt like sharing your pain with the rest of the world.

Legolas didn't say anything, he just petted your hair and gave you the affection you wanted. You were hugging his leg so that he wouldn't stand or walk away. Despite feeling miserable inside and out, something about this moment was calming, comforting, even. 

              After some peaceful silence, you turned your head so that you could see Legolas eye-to-eye.  "Hello." He said, a twinkle of amusement in his eye.

"You're going to get sick." You rasped, your throat felt like you swallowed sharp rocks every time you spoke, but you got used to it pretty quickly. 

"I know." he always spoke in such short sentences, as if his words were something to be preserved and treasured. Talking with him was like conversing with a wise, otherworldly spirit. His voice was the same way, meaningful and melodic. If a river could speak to you, this was what you'd imagine it would sound like. 

"But if I infect you, and you infect me, then I'll be double sick, then you'll be double sick, then I'll be triple sick, and then-" Clearly, you didn't preserve your words in the same way, but you could make Legolas smile, which was ethereal enough for you. 

He chuckled and shushed you, making you pout with a little frown on your face. It was nice to see him enjoy himself around you.
