A few days went by, and Beth felt so uneasy. She was not sure about Snape. He yelled at her and it made her very confused. However, what Filius said to her made sense and she felt a little better after that conversation. She woke up on a Saturday morning at 10 am, and she widened her eyes. On her dresser next to her were these beautiful red roses that were wrapped in tissue and a white bow. Who on earth would buy her roses? She picked up the roses and smelled them. What a nice surprise. Though she wondered who could have come into her room with the roses last night. She then saw a note on the bouquet. She picked it up gently and read it out loud. "To the rarest of roses. May you continue to blossom in the face of darkness." She said as she did not know who could have done this. She gently got up and she changed into black jeans, a grey sweater, and some knee-high boots that were grey with fur on the top. She then left her long hair out and she walked with the roses straight to Snape's room. He was the first person she would suspect, him being a male and all and it was the only male she had gotten close with since being at Hogwarts. She was nervous though. What if he yelled at her more? Only one way to find out. She knocked on his door quietly and she waited for what seemed like forever, but it was only 30 seconds. He opened the door slowly, and oddly enough, he looked at her so gently. "Good morning Miss Washington." He spoke. "Is there anything I can do to assist you?" Beth looked at him softly. "Well, I am not sure where these roses came from, but they are so lovely. I love them so much, they are my favorite flower." She said as Snape nodded to her. "I am pleased to know that you enjoy them, consider it an apology from my outrage a few days ago." He said as he gently looked behind him. "Would you like to come inside, Miss Washington?" He offered. "Yes that would be good." She spoke as she walked in with the flowers. He shut the door behind her. "Do you have any plans for the day?" He asked. She shook her head. "I do not have any really...." She said as she looked around his room. It was very clean and precise like he was. "Perhaps I can take you somewhere......I wish to not be in debt to you, so....is there a particular place where you would like to go? Or something to see that you have not seen during your duration at Hogwarts?" He asked her as his tone seemed much softer. He watched her and waited for a response.

"Uh....." She said as she looked to his bed. "May I sit here?" She asked as he nodded and gently straightened out the sheets on his already made bed. She sat down as she was still thinking. "I see you are deeply thinking." He said. "Yeah....been thinking about how confusing our friendship has been lately. I do not know what to think of it." She said as he sat down next to her. "Miss Washington.....you are the only true friend that I have been close with. I wish to now accept that. Whether I like it or not, you have changed my view of life itself. I consider you to be a great thing in my life. I wish to be forgiven, Miss Washington, so that we may never have a conflict like this again." He said as he looked at her with gentle eyes. She looked at him almost shocked. He was so kind right now, something he is not known for. She held the roses gently as she looked to him. "You can choose where we go. Something you would think I would like." She said as he nodded. "There is something....." He said slowly as he gently held his chin and looked to her. She rose an eyebrow as he gently got up. "Allow me to change....." He spoke as she stood up. "I will be outside of the room." She said as she gently put the roses down on his bed and walked out of the room. She closed the door and her heart was racing. Racing of excitement. He had given her roses, and that was something that made her very happy. She sighed with a smile as she heard him starting to hum. She did not know what he was humming, but his voice was so deep and so soothing. Oh god, was she falling for him? She held her head as she smiled almost widely.

She was indeed starting to feel something for Severus Snape.

He gently came out in a short grey coat and a ruffled white collar. Dark pants were also put upon him. He wore tall boots that were black and the finest leather and he looked like a dashing dark prince. "You look so......charming," Beth said as she smiled warmly. He gently smirked back. "Would say something similar about yourself." He added as he gently walked her down the halls. The students usually took the weekends to relax, study, or go to Hogsmeade for a whole day. The halls were quiet for the most part, other than some students walking around. Some Slytherins walked by and saw their Head of House walking with Beth. "Professor Snape? Are you heading somewhere with Professor Washington?" A guy questioned him. "Do not question me, boy. That is none of your concern." His voice got firm and scary, and Beth beside him mouthed the word "Date" to him to make him confused. He saw this and widened his eyes as Snape looked to Beth and glared as she giggled and gently pulled him along leaving the young boys very confused and perhaps a bit worried.
