That moment changed her life. That Thanksgiving night changed their whole relationship. She couldn't believe the man that Severus Snape was becoming. He was a changed man, well..... 60% of the time. The students did not dare to joke about his new girlfriend or the ring on his right hand. They knew they would get a response back and a hit to the head with a paper book. The month went by and it was December. It had been two months together as a couple and the female students and professors loved her promise ring. She could not resist showing it off to them, that she was Severus' girl and that she could not be touched by no other male. She was told about the Yule Ball that would happen this month and that the students loved it every year. She wondered about it a lot. Especially recently. In her classes, her female students kept asking her if it was an engagement ring. She would laugh at them and shake her head, telling them that it was not one and that it was on the wrong hand. She had just finished her class, and she walked next door to the Potions classroom. They had gotten closer and he liked calling her his darling, dear, and the most recent one that she has fallen in love with is "my love". He would only say the last one when they were alone, and alone means alone and out of people's earshot. The physical part of the relationship was not there yet but he always seemed to comment on her body. She was wearing a large grey coat with grey fur lining and some grey fur boots with a heel. She had her red hair in a twisted and braided bun and her lips were a subtle maroon color. She had dangling diamond earrings and she knocked on the Potions door. Severus had not seen her all day today because he was out and about during breakfast and lunch. "Come in." Said the deep voice and she walked in seeing Severus writing on the board Review Day in nice and elegant cursive. "Good afternoon Severus, my dearest" Beth smiled widely as he moved his vision over his shoulder and widened his eyes seeing the red-headed beauty that was his.
"Well, hello there." His voice said lowly as he faced her and looked at her from the bottom up. Wow, what a beautiful woman. "I almost feel like I am unable to look away." He said as she walked over and she touched his cheek. "That is me with you every day." She whispered as they kissed each other softly. He looked into her eyes as he kissed her lips again. He was such a romantic person and she loved it. He held the crease of her back and kissed her cheek. "You smell like peppermint, my dear. You give off the essence of Christmas." He said into her neck as she giggled from the heat of his breath. "I recently got it. You like?" She asked. "I do admire it, indeed." He said as they smiled at each other. "Well, it's review day huh?" She said as he nodded. "It is when the true test of knowledge appears. They will either know it or they will not. Pity for those who will not remember." He said as he pulled away and he checked the shelves. She sat on his desk smiling. She looked at her ring that she couldn't stop looking at since he put it on her. "You seem to enjoy that ring, Elizabeth." He commented. "Yes I very much do. It is gorgeous. Though my students seem to think I am engaged." She giggled as Severus smirked. "Were they not educated on wedding rings from their own parents?" He asked. "Ask them next time!" She continued to giggle as he chuckled and the students were about to enter. He then got a little more serious as Beth rolled her eyes playfully. Why did he always have to act scary in front of the children?
As they all sat down, Professor Snape glared at all of them. "Silence. You can speak later, but now it is my turn to speak." He said slowly as he held his hands together in a praying position and walked around the tables. "It is review day, and I do hope you have remembered the 25 different potions that we have discussed over the two quarters. It would be so unfortunate if you did not know them by now." He said as he looked at all of them and Beth smirked. "If it makes you feel better, I do not know all of them." She said as the class chuckled at her comment. "Not. Helping." He articulated as he stared at her and she covered her mouth. "Sorry." She said as he walked behind her and hit her playfully in the back of the head with a paper textbook. She squealed as they laughed at her and he deeply and slowly chuckled. "A punishment for speaking out of turn." He said as he continued his lesson. "Quills up. We are going over a few of the potions." He added as he looked at Beth and she rubbed her head smiling at him warmly. "Better get used to that Professor Washington. He does that a lot." One of the male Hufflepuffs said as Professor Snape glared at him. "Not another word, Hamilton, or you will be throwing up slugs for a week." He glared at him as he continued the lesson.
