After a nice lunch with Nova and a calm evening, the two of you were back at your hotel getting ready to go out and meet with the guys.
You packed your purse and wore something casual based on Hoseok's vague suggestion to not wear anything that wasn't comfortable. It was fairly warm outside but was cooling off so you dressed in a pair of cargo Capri pants and a v-neck tee.
Though as you set your stuff down, you looked over at Nova as she was packing a backpack instead of her usual bag. You raised a brow.
"Planning on staying a while?" You gave her an amused smile as you placed a hand on your hip.
"Just want to be prepared." She shrugged with an innocent smile.
"Prepared for what exactly?" You questioned with emphasis to let her know she wasn't fooling anybody.
"Anything." She replied with a grin before zipping her backpack up tight and shrugging it onto her shoulders. Looks like she was paying you back for being so vague with her lately. "Come on, let's go!" Nova said as she headed for the door with her over sized 'bag'. You were pretty sure she hadn't even come to this country with so much stuff.
"Are they here?" You followed behind her to the elevator.
"No, I rented a car." She declared with a proud grin before heading out into the hotel lobby.
"You rented a what?!" You tried to lower your voice as people turned their heads in your direction.
The two of you made your way outside where a shiny black car waited for you, thankfully at least she didn't rent some hot rod.
Still... her driving wasn't the best and you were in another country no doubt.
"You're going to fucking killing us." You muttered, reluctantly getting into the passenger seat.
"Oh, don't be so dramatic." She bumped your shoulder with a grin as she climbed into the driver's seat, which in this country was on the other side. "It'll be a trip to remember." She chortled teasingly as she stuck out her tongue and tossed the car into drive.
"If I live to remember it." You muttered.
By the grace of the gods you made it, somewhat in one piece. You were pretty sure your stomach had been left in the city. But... as to where exactly Nova had brought you, you weren't sure.
"Did you get lost?" You looked around from your seat inside the car, seeing nothing but trees and the night consuming the sky. The drive had been almost an hour long and it was dark out now.
"Nope. This is the address Hoseok gave me..." She looked at the GPS on her phone, seeming faintly confused herself.
"Are you sure he didn't bring us out here to kill us?" You joked dryly. You were out in the middle of nowhere and hadn't seen a car for at least half an hour on your way here. It was a reasonable assumption.
"He likes me too much to kill me now." She said with a wink before jumping out of the car and opening the back door, reaching for her backpack.
"Speaking of that. What exactly are you and Hoseok at this point?" You decided to use this time to interrogate her a little as you climbed out of the car.
She swung her bag onto her back and opened her mouth before closing it again. She chewed on her lower lip, pondering the question. "Friends."
"Really good friends." A familiar deep voice added as Hoseok stepped from the shadows of the thicket next to you.
You were startled by the sound, but your best friend wasn't. Nova turned around to see him walking up to the car with a smirk.
"Hobi!" Nova called out sweetly. He approached her and she jumped into his arms.
Right... 'friends'. Okay. You rolled your eyes at them and shook your head.
You stuffed your hands into the pockets of the jacket you were now thankful you brought. As predicted, there was a slight chill in the air and the wind brushed against your exposed ankles.
"So, what're we doing here, Hobi?" You crossed your arms as you gave him a sly grin.
"Camping." He said simply as he wrapped an arm around Nova's waist and pulled her closer.
"Camping?!" You choked out, no one had told you anything about that. You looked at Nova in accusation and she shrank behind Hoseok's shoulder. Ugh, you would have to get her back for this later. So that was the reason for the huge bag. You were definitely not the outdoorsy type, and you absolutely hated bugs.
"Well, you two don't have to stay if you don't want to. But you're free to hang out as long as you want." Hoseok smiled, offering you some relief and an escape if you needed it.
Well that explains the rented death car.
"I packed some clothes for you." Your treacherous friend gave you an apologetic pout, shaking the backpack behind her. "But, we don't have to stay. The option's just there if we want it." Nova reassured you that if you wanted to leave at any point, you could.
You were still faintly irritated that she didn't give you a heads up. But there was nothing you could do about it now, may as well make the most of it. Besides, spending another night with Namjoon wasn't the worst thing you could be put through.
"Alright. Fine." You sighed, giving up on your irritation. "So, where are we going?" You squinted, trying to see any form of light or life among the trees.
"The boys are off in our spot starting a fire." Hoseok said, cocking his head towards a trail that led into the woods.
"Please tell me Kookie is dancing around it in attempts to start it." Nova said sarcastically before mimicking their choreography to the song 'Fire' and failing miserably. Hoseok guffawed at her before joining in on the playful dance. They busted out into a laughing fit before making their way to the treeline.
You laughed as you began to follow after them. "You two are a pair of dorks. You fit together so well." You teased.
Nova quickly glanced back at you with a startled expression, surprised by your comment. "What?" She asked in a hissing whisper tone.
Hoseok just looked at you and grinned before wrapping his arm around Nova's shoulder and leading the two of you to the others.
