Worried for You

After the two of you got ready, now looking less like swamp creatures, you went back to start packing up your own stuff. Namjoon and Jin were standing by the fire pit, plates in their laps. You walked over to them and Namjoon smiled the instant he saw you. He held the plate of eggs and bacon up to you when you reached him and you grinned. You thanked him before taking a seat on the ground next to him.

Namjoon sat down next to you as you dug in. You swallowed your last mouthful of eggs before Jin came to take your plate to throw it away for you. Always such a gracious host.

"What are you doing today?" Namjoon asked as he took your hand.

You looked over at him with a slightly apologetic smile. "Probably sleeping. Some weird Korean guy kept me up all night."

He chuckled and smirked at you. "That's one lucky, unapologetic Korean guy."

You shook your head and grinned. He stood and pulled you up with him before wrapping his arms around you. He hugged you to his chest and you breathed him in, committing his scent to memory. You wrapped your arms around his lean body, squeezing his shirt between your fingers. He kissed the top of your head, the way that you had come to love.

"So I'll see you soon then?" His deep voice whispered into your hair.

You smiled and looked up at him. "I'll see you soon then." He pecked your lips softly before you pulled away. Nova was waiting in the car for you and you didn't want to irritate her this early in the morning. You walked away reluctantly, throwing one last look over your shoulder to see Namjoon waving at you.

You waved back and got into the rental car. Nova was smirking at you in amusement as you put on your seatbelt. "What?" You eyed her innocently.

"You've got it so bad for that man."

You shrugged, not bothering to give her a response. Maybe, just maybe, she was right.

The drive back to the hotel was silent. Nova had slept much more than you had last night, so you were the only one who was exhausted. You trudged up to your hotel room and dumped your stuff onto the floor. Kicking off your shoes, you plopped down onto your bed with a groan.

You debated on trying to talk to her about what happened this morning, about what had been happening with her in general. She had not really told you a thing about what was going on between her and the boys. This wasn't like her, and it had you beyond worried. But you knew her, and she was likely going to great lengths to avoid the subject so as to not worry you further, which made you feel a ping of guilt on top of your stress.

Nova walked over to her own bed and put her backpack down to go through it, sorting out the items inside. She offered you back the pieces of clothing that she had stolen from you in her attempts to be sneaky about the camping trip.

You took your red stained shirt from last night and stared at it with a melancholy smile. "It's hard to believe we only have three days left here." You said with a sigh before tossing the shirt in the hamper beside your bed.

"Yeah." Her shoulders slumped. "I think I've made more memories here in a week and a half than I have in months back in the States." She added with a dry laugh.

"Is that a good or bad thing?" You asked sarcastically as you pulled a pillow under your head.

"Good. Mostly." She laughed as she sat her now empty backpack on the floor at the foot of her bed. "I'm going to miss this country though." She sighed, moving to sit beside you on your bed.

"Are you going to miss the country or the men in it?" You raised an amused brow at her.

"Can't it be both?" She smiled. "You can't tell me you're not going to miss their insanity?"
