after all successfully reading the letter that they received the day before, the members of ateez were all ready to protect min-ju. even though they were suspicious they decided, after some successful arguments, that they should protect her anyways just in case.

"why should I risk mY LIFE for someone I don't know?" wooyoung asked holding a hand to his chest while stood and top of the kitchen counter, the other members all staring back at him. "I wouldn't even risk my life to save you guys!" he said throwing open his arms in a matter of fact way.

"thanks wooyoung, we love you too." hongjoong sighed and put his face in his hands. some members just watched from a distance whereas others where closer to wooyoung to try calm him down. "he is going to kill my brain cells." yeosang said with his arms folded over his chest. "not that you had any to begin with." jongho said before running away so he couldnt be killed.

"sometimes I wonder if any of you even have brain cells," hongjoong sighed. wooyoung kept standing on top of the kitchen counter not looking like he was going to get down anytime soon. "look," yeosang began, "if you want to possibly leave someones life at risk then that is up to you, but the rest of us are going to do something." yeosang stared at wooyoung hoping for a response, but instead heard jongho speak up. "okay so maybe he DOES have brain cells."

wooyoung still looked unsure, both at the fact that he had to help someone he didn't know and the thought of yeosang having braincells. they all seemed to collectively share one. "I know you might not know her yet, but she is nice I promise you." hongjoong got up onto the counter with wooyoung, trying to talk him into getting down. although when they were stood up there they were taller than everyone.

"fine," wooyoung said finally, the other members sighed in relief. "but only because if I didn't you wouldn't be able to do it properly." he got down and walked into his room. this caused the other members to be relieved, at least he was going to help.

now that they were all convinced they decided it was best to sleep and leave doing anything else until the morning. all members walked into their respective bedrooms and slept soundly.

[in the morning]

Saturday. today was the day of the party that seonghwa had been invited to by mi-young. he had asked the other members and they all agreed to go. obviously because the party didn't start until around 8pm they had some time to kill. hongjoong had to work in the convenience store today with min-ju, and everyone except yunho, mingi and jongho also had to go to their jobs.

the light seeped through the blinds in the biggest room in their small apartment. because their apartment in the south of the city was much smaller than their hideout in the alternate universe they had to have five of them sleeping in the same room while the other three slept in the other room. in the room of five was yunho, san, mingi, wooyoung and jongho and the other three were in their room.

the first member to open their eyes was wooyoung, who slept on the bed that was closest to the door, as when they were choosing them he claimed he could protect everyone. there was a clattering coming from the kitchen. wooyoung rubbed his eyes with his sweater paws formed from an oversized jumper he had borrowed from mingi.

he hopped out of the bed and opened the door cautiously before looking down the hallway. he saw that the door opposite into the other members room was still closed, so he assumed that there was an intruder and thought the other members were all asleep.

he walked back into the room to grab something to defend himself with and managed to grab a toaster? he looked at it in question before walking slowly down the hall to the kitchen. he stopped turning his head round the corner to see if he could see anyone there. when he didn't he walked out and looked in confusion, before hearing a voice behind him.
