twenty five

a display of different shades of red and oragne fluttered gracefully across the sky, as the sun greeted the large town of naporia. the golden glow passing over the buildings signalling that the day had begun.

signalling it was the beginning of the end.

min-ju had arrived swiftly at the base, closely followed by everyone else. they had to sneak into the base, shut off the security systems without any of them sounding then signal for the other groups to begin coming in.

sounds easy, right? thats what they were hoping it would be.

min-ju managed to sneak through one of the doors in the back of the base, jaemin had previously told them it was never guarded and if you walked through you would be able to walk out of the room you enter and turn left then the last door on the corridor would be the security room.

they had also been informed that security in this area didn't start until later on in the day so the security room should only have the overnight person working. who according to jisung and chenle 'sleeps through anything, seriously we slapped him once and he barely moved.' 

after confirming that there was in fact no one in the small room seen when she opened the door min-ju signalled for everyone else to follow her.

jinwoo came along with ja-jung and four other members of cherry bullet. they had explained the other members were being held here, whether they were alive or not they had no idea, but they should be here.

the room they had just entered was slightly small and pitch black. it had a small folded chair sat by the door, jeno had informed them that that was just to hold the door open in the warmer seasons when it got too hot.

they made their way in, closing the other door behind them slightly but letting some of the light in from outside. they slowly made their way over to another door on the opposite side of the room, leading to the rest of the base.

jinwoo grabbed the handle and turned it slowly, allowing for as little sound to be given off as possible. he looked around the corridors he could see, and sure enough, like the jaemin said, there was not a single gang member guarding this area.

the seven of them snuck down to the last door on the left as jaemin had described it. looking through a glass panel on the wall next to the door, they saw that the security guard was sleeping.

gently the turned the door knob, ja-jung watching out while everyone else got to work inside the room. the cherry bullet members tied the sleeping male and put duct tape over his mouth, so that if he did actually wake up he wouldn't be able to do anything.

jinwoo and min-ju both got to work on the security systems. they had been told by renjun that there were multiple security stations all across the base, but if they were able to repeat the same footage and make that play through all the security rooms they wouldnt know any better. 

then they would be able to shut down the cameras and stop the security systems, blocking them from being able to be sounded. there were buttons all around the base, so that if a guard saw anything they thought needed backup they could press the button and people would be able to come to their area.

this was the main reason that ateez's plans went so bad when they tried to rescue min-ju, that and the fact that they never seem to make a backup plan.

min-ju selected a three hour long loop of footage that didn't seem at all suspicious so that no one would be able to tell. it would allow for it to play at least twice before they could be compromised, depending on how fast the guards could catch onto things.
