[I apologize this isn't a Valentine's Day, week after type short story, but I couldn't finish it. It'll have to be when I can finish it that I'll publish it.]

She was hurting inside. She was wounded, even.

Thoughts were crowding in her mind and she could only her help from two things.

Those two things were close in a way she couldn't explain to others.

She was addicted to one, and loved by the other. She felt lost in different ways, and couldn't explain it to someone who wouldn't understand it if they didn't live it.

Her addiction had grown over time, and she had lost the thing that caused it, three times.

The first time, she was able to get another. The second, she felt hurt, without any truth in what she had done. The third time had broken her.

She sat in a room, filled with others who had their own stories.

She felt like an outsider, intruding on their peace. This room- this room of peace- was filled with grace, love, and acceptance.

Without the cause of her addiction, she didn't feel those things.

She felt
Alone,
Disconnected, and
Emotionally Destroyed.

She felt hopeless.

The room began to sing, and she felt as if, inside, she was being spoken to by one voice, the voice who spoke to her heart and mind.

She began to answer the voice without words, and her heart began to sing.

Without the cause of her addiction, one of your addictions, her and you will find new joy.

You will be in a new life, a better and improved resurrection.
