Half-Empty, Half-Full

Of all the deaths... I thought mine would be cooler.

Some people die while they're sleeping- that's the least painful, or at least I think it is.

My death was so stupid. Honestly, it was just dumb.

Wanna know what I did?

Guess.

Just guess.

Guess all you want because you won't figure it out.

My death- My death was ridiculous. Absolutely ridiculous.

I was just at my friend's house, and I had asked for a glass of water. I had gotten a call from my mom a minute after, calling me home.

Turns out, in the call, she wanted to talk to me about something important to her, something she was so excited about.

So I had, unfortunately, left my friend's house because she didn't want to spoil the surprise, and I began to walk home.

On my walk, I had tripped. I tripped on a rock, feeling a sharp feeling go through my chest- and then nothing.

I had died due to tripping on a rock, right where a piece of glass stabbed me in the heart and I DIED.

I guess Mom would never be telling me her surprise- her only child was dead and no one was there to know.

I died to a stupid piece of glass from a stupid broken bottle on the ground.

I can't believe the earth that has kept me alive for so many years had the guts to just kill me like that.

And to glass? Really? I don't get it.

I had gotten a glass of water before, but that was about it.

It's ridiculous. Absolutely ridiculous.

It might be a "cool death" to someone else, but to me, it was like the half-glass empty half-glass full argument.

...

Stupid glass.
