It was really early in the mornin' and I couldn't sleep. Without a wall between myself and Yugi's large wall-sized windows, it really was hard not to have my face in the sunlight. I decide to just sit up, and I couldn't help but be hungry. It didn't feel like long ago since I ate dinner with Yugi, but I still can't help but be hungry. Would he hate me if I ransacked his fridge? Nah... I slowly get up off the couch, lazily brushing off the white blanket that Yuge got me. I slept fully clothed, thinking it would be weird if otherwise, so I really had nothing to hide from that stupidly large window. Where was the kitchen? Have I already forgo- "RING RING RING!!!" What?! Crap! I immediately hit silent, then noticing that Tristans name is displayed on the screen. What on earth? At this hour? "Tristan... This better be worth it..." I swipe and answer, and he immediately begins yelling about something. "Tristan, calm down. Why do I hear cars?" Suddenly I hear a door creak open. "Joey?" "Crap, sorry Yuge. I really didn't mean to wake you. Tristan called." Suddenly I see a tired but excited smile from him, and he walks over at a pretty quick pace. "How is he doing? Tell him I said hi!" I nod as Tristan finally calms a bit. "I'm on the highway, Joey. But I needed to call you." "Tristan, really? You aren't driving, are you?" Yugi tries to listen in, still too short to get close enough to. "Nah, I'm not. I'm probably gonna get some anger from my boss for being so late back though." "Then get going! I don't want to get you fired!" "I'll be fine. This is important." Yugi gives up, huffing and sitting on the couch. "Joey. I finally heard from Kaiba." "Wait, you? Why would he contact you?" Suddenly, Yuge seems intrigued again but he stays seated. "He didn't. It was an announcement on a billboard. I just saw it." I can't help but widen my eyes, knowing what happened last time he made a display like that... Battle City... "What was it about then, Tristan?" "Some kind of world tournament. Kind of like his last tournament but on a bigger scale." "Thats crazy! You mean I can finally show how powerful I've gotten in a new tournament? This is amazing!" Yugi's eyes begin to glow, seemingly giddy to my voice. "Whats going on, Joey?" I lower the phone. "Just a minute Yuge." I rise it back up. "Not quite, Joey. There is a qualifier to decide who goes to this huge tournament." "How so?" "I had to contact you now because it literally happens in an hour! Get ready and go to it!" "Wait, where is this qualifier, Tristan?!" "Theres one in Mirror City. You can reach it in time if you hurry!" I nod, feeling like this opportunity can't be avoided. "Alright, Tristan. Thanks for the info, pal. I'm gonna let you talk to Yugi while I prepare to leave." "Alright, sure. I miss him." I hand the phone to Yugi, and he eagerly takes it, saying hi to Tristan immediately. "Hi, Tristan! How is life treating you!" I smile, only hearing muffling on the other line as I frantically look for my green jacket. "You hung my jacket on your front door, right Yuge?!" I ask while running in place frantically, terrified that I'll miss this chance. He nods, going back to his talk. "Why are you on the highway, Tristan?" I roll my eyes, frantically running down Yugi's hall and seeing the jacket hung right where I thought! I yank it off the rack, sliding it on, sleeve by sleeve. Suddenly, Yugi yells, "Joey, why do you need your jacket?!" I yell, replying back, "Yuge, theres a qualifiers here for some kind of huge tournament Kaiba is holding! I'm gonna win so I can enter!" Yuge sighs under his breath. "What about your visit?" "I'm sorry Yuge, but I-" "Nevermind, Joey. I understand. I'll go with you!" He comes around the corner, jogging with his signature navy blue jacket on, and he barely stops in front of the door. "Tristan. Would you mind if we called back?" "Its fine, Yugi. Have fun. I need to go anyway." "Right!" Yugi hangs up, and I open the door quick, heading for the elevator quick. "Joey, wait up!"
