Toni's POV
It's been a bit over a week since that infamous Monday morning when the video of Cheryl went around the school and I was suspended for defending her. We returned to school the next day and it was as if the whole thing didn't happen. Everyone was scared to bring anything up after seeing me and Jason loose it to protect Cheryl or that they'd face the strict consequences if bullying was reported. Sure we all got some looks but that was about it. We also found out that some random football player was responsible for posting the video and he was expelled. Things were as normal as they could get for now.
It was a random Thursday afternoon and we were just laying in Cheryl's room. Cheryl was laying up on her bed, and I was comfortably chilling on the floor.
"Babe?" Cheryl asked softly. "Why don't you come lay up here with me?"
"Because the floors comfy and I'm too lazy to move." I whined.
"Aww please, Tee-Tee?" She asked with a playful pout.
I smirked up at her and sat up. I moved in and kissed her as she kept her head on her pillow, smiling as she kissed me back. I put my hand on her waist and we deepened the kiss. I then smirked and I quickly pulled her off the bed and she fell down on top of me as we began to fall into a fit of giggles on the floor.
"What was that for?" She giggled as she rested her head on my shoulder.
"Nothing. I just thought, why should I have to get up when I could pull you down and we could lay on the comfortable floor together?" I teased and then I kissed her forehead and gave her a gentle hug.
"Oh my god!" We heard along with a laugh as the door shut behind Veronica. Cheryl tensed up and clung to me in shock and fear as Veronica got closer. "I knew you were a dirty dyke, Cheryl! Sorry that I had to interrupt your disgusting sapphic romances." She laughed.
"What the fuck, Veronica? Why can't you just leave her alone?!" I snapped at her.
"Why are you fucking around with her? There's no way you actually care about her. Look at her! She's just a blind metal-faced freak!"
"Shut the hell up, bitch! Cheryl isn't a freak and she's beautiful! You're just jealous that unlike you she has people like me that care about her. Now get the fuck out of here!" I yelled at her. Veronica rolled her eyes and scoffed at us then she left the room and went back downstairs to where Jason was. Cheryl hid her face in the crook of my neck and cried softly. "Baby, don't cry. Please don't cry. It's okay." I said gently as I massaged her head.
"Sh-She's r-right. I'm-"
"No, Cheryl. You stop right there because I'm not going to listen to you talk shit about yourself when you're the best person I've ever met." I said sternly- yet lovingly at the same time- as I made her make eye contact with me.
"Okay, Tee-Tee." She sighed as she wiped her tears away. I kissed her cheek and whispered to her.
"I'm so sorry she said all that about you. I promise I'm going to protect you from her."
"Thank you, Toni. I'm just scared about what's going to happen now that she actually knows I'm gay." She sighed.
"If she does something, she'll regret it. By now everyone should know not to mess with you." I laughed lightly.
"Yeah." She giggled back and we decided to keep cuddling on the floor.

Cheryl's POV
It was Friday evening and I needed to go get ready in my Vixens uniform to preform at the football game. I decided to stay on the cheer team because Toni encouraged me to. She knew that I was having a lot of fun on the team and told me I shouldn't let everyone ruin it for me, and she's right.
