Toni's POV
It was Friday night and Cheryl and I were currently on my motorcycle heading to my parents' house. I decided it would be fun to go visit Bella tonight and let my parents have a date night and give the nanny the night off. Jason had a football banquet tonight and Cheryl's mother decided to drive him there, so Cheryl wanted to come see Bella with me.
It's been almost a week since what happened at Thornhill and I think things have gotten better. Both of the bruises on Cheryl are fading away, but are still noticeable. She also threw her old glasses away since Hot Dog knocked them off my coffee table and they just became even more broken. She's been wearing contacts all week and her new glasses should be coming any day now. From what she's said, her father hasn't spoken to her at all when he's around. I feel bad for her but she said he'll get over it.
In other news, Jason's been handling our relationship well. He's still upset over Veronica, and I understand why. Veronica is still heartbroken but she's been hanging out with our little group. They were all iffy at first but after Cheryl and JB said she apologized and Veronica apologized for hurting them in the first place, they've been willing to allow her to hang out with us, and it's been going well. She hasn't told them about the abuse yet, but Cher and I aren't going to pressure her to talk about that unless she's ready. I do know that all of our friends will want to help though.
We finally sped along the driveway and parked my bike, making our way inside the house right after. We entered the house and my parents were coming down the stairs, ready for their date.
"Thank you for doing this for us, Antoinette." My dad smiled.
"We appreciate it." Mom added before she glanced at Cheryl. "Oh my word what happened?!" She asked in shock after seeing the bruise.
"Oh um. My dad-" She started, but began to get nervous.
"Her dad wasn't very accepting of our relationship." I said for her as I held her hand.
"He hit you just because you're dating Antoinette?" My father asked, being a bit taken aback himself.
"Yeah." She whispered.
"I'm so sorry about that, Cheryl. If you need anything let us know." My mom said gently.
"Thank you." Cheryl smiled back lightly.
"Toni?" Bella called from the top of the staircase. "Are you here?"
"Yeah, Cher and I are coming up!" I called back.
"We'll let you all be." Dad smiled.
"Yes, and we'll see you girls later." Mom added as they left.
Once they were gone we went upstairs to Bella's room. We walked in and found her playing with her dolls, a bored look on her face. She noticed us walk in and immediately lit up.
"Yay you're both here!" She cheered happily as we sat down. "Playing with my dolls was getting boring."
"Obviously since you looked really bored when we walked in." I chuckled.
"Yeah. Hey how about you guys be the dolls?" She asked excitedly.
"Huh?" We both asked, being very confused as Bella stood up.
"Just do it." She rolled her eyes and we just went along with whatever the hell she wanted. She went behind us and put her hands on the back of our heads, trying to push Cheryl and I together. "Kiss." She smiled. Cheryl started blushing as we both started to giggle. We decided to humor Bella and lean in as she moved our heads together until my lips met with Cheryl's. The kiss was soft and sweet for a couple moments before Bella started making fake little kissy noises and Cheryl and I both pulled away as we started dying of laughter.
