Yangyang stared in a distance across the room. It was quiet, dark, lonely. The light shone brightly through the glass window on the box that were placed on the table. Untouched, he wasn't ready to open it. Days passed and he made his way to it. Maybe its a little dusty.

A big square box with a checkered design, tied with a ribbon. He made his way on it, his own shadow covered it from the sunlight. The ribbon he firstly untie, opening the box and put it aside to see what was inside. Only to see a clothing, neatly folded, its button sparkled as if it glows in the dark, its fabric shining by the reflection of light. A familiar scent hit his nostrils. Thinking that maybe someone has tried it on.

He took it out, feeling and scanning the coat in his hands. As if it was a surprise present, the sender remained anonymous until he saw a card he didn't noticed, tied with the ribbon. Out of curiosity, he took it. There was a handwriting, clear enough for him to read, no other signatures or from who it is.

'Dress warm.'

Thinking that it was a card, he turned it over. There was a picture, cropped. A picture of the transparent shoes. The transparent shoes that everyone recognize with only a glance. A smile formed his lips wider than he thought, not realizing how silly he looked that time. Happy, glad, relieved. All the positive thoughts- most of it were written on his face. He didn't know what to react more, a short message, like a message of how she's telling him that she was doing perfectly fine. That she was okay after everything she went through at school, all these years without him.

He didn't thought of a word exist in his dictionary; move on. To move on or being moved on. How she handled things. Memories made him mostly expressionless, indescribable mix of feelings. Memorable days made him quite relieved, in joy. And a day filled with seriousness, less talks, more thinking, it hurts.

Out of all days only learning and revising what he studies, Yangyang gets to hangout with his childhood friends in the neighbourhood, walk and play around in the park, skateboarding at their old place and those kind of gang hangouts, talks and just do random, silly, playful things.

Yangyang was a regular, he goes to the university library almost every day. Plus, it was just a few blocks from the place he live in. Yangyang would either read and revise some books at the library or bring it home to borrow it for a few days. Not only for his researches and documents but for a wider knowledge. Just things he needed to learn deeper, know it better than just to know it because of his studies.

Studying in a foreign country was a huge step to take of an average student that used to have ugly records but it was never too late than never, she've made a decision on her own and by the supports from her family, she gained confidence to achieve that something she never thought of, to have her courage living and surviving this fussy, messed up world.

Germany was a great place to continue studies, students from all over the world would come there just to focus on their future, to achieve their goals. Some of the locals would speak English and most uses their own language, German. To Chunhua, English was simple but needing to learn another language from English was a little difficult. She had to have a tutor, a professional for the language- well of course, the tutor is well-experienced in Germany, have mastered in PhD, studied in UK, since he's a local, a professor in a university nearby. Eventhough he was in his mid 30s, his beautiful face looked like he just turned 27. That's how young he looked like.

Its been a few weeks of living alone to study. She had to make friends, find a temporary home for a few years to stay in, earn money for herself- by herself and even find her future career.

What's best was that she get to explore the city, discover their culture and foods, no distractions from other family members, friends or anyone as she enjoys to be alone. At first, she had a culture shock, amazed of the place she never thought to live in, and even get to experience what homesick is. Clearing all the excuses, she reminded herself that she was there to study, with sincerity.

She have made a friend, a local friend who unexpectedly have another group of friends- foreigner friends so it was a tick in a to do list. More than enough, she thought. Then her friend helped her find a condo which needed just a perfect roommate, a friend of that one friend. Confusing, i know. Her roommate, was known as a cheerful person, friendly and talks a lot. None of the listed were like her old roommate's character. Jia was a little dark, boring person who have great instincts.

There was only one thing that she needed to do, to find a part time job. Typically, students were everywhere to apply as a waiting staff of a café, barista and stuff. It was a little of a hard work to do, remembering all the ingredients, deals with customers, may have less time of focusing on studies and it required to socialize and being friendly. It was not like she expected what she likes to do.

She had the most nerve wrecking week, of waiting for the part time job application and it was a good move, to apply as an academic assistant. They supervise the library, lead tutorials or research literature for professors. The advantage of being an academic assistant was that they get to learn as they work, there were relations of studies and even learning German. A simple work to stay quiet, to wait for people to borrow books, printing, just doing a little of paperwork.

Luckily, she was accepted. There were other academic assistants but there was more students working as a barista. The librarian was a local, she had a tired look on though it was a great news to Chunhua. "You can start here tomorrow."

"Really? Oh god, thank you so much!"

What's weird was that she now goes to the university library almost everyday not to only have a German lesson but to work and help other people that goes there. A place where people find knowledge. Her tutor was of course happy that she can learn more by socializing with others- if she does.

"There would be regulars borrowing and returning books repeatedly so just get along like you know them, make yourself comfortable." The librarian continued.
