Both waking up early in the morning had each other's stares exchanged. Chunhua shifted uncomfortably to the side of her seat as she eat her breakfast whilst Kate looking at her. By the grin and look on her face, Chunhua can tell that she's wanting to know something but Kate first spoke up.

She poured a glass of water then drink it, her eyes staring back at Chunhua. "Seems like you've known him longer than i do. A classmate of mine." She stated.

Chunhua finished chewing and whined, "You never told me anything about that!"

"I never think you would know someone at campus. As in- a well-known person for a crazy, amazing, study skills. and also i don't give out unnecessary informations about some person i know." Kate shrugged, smiling at how she felt the awkward atmosphere last night, making Chunhua worry more. She had no idea that he would be someone related.

She whined more, "You should at least tell me- youre the one who's making it awkward for me"

"You guys just looked like dealing with some- thing. I didn't meant to interfere. Are you guys going out?"

"No!" Chunhua immediately cut her off then sighed. "I mean, i dont know.."

"I'm currently trying to deal with my trauma, okay?" She snapped, standing up. "Your past? Is it that bad?" ask Kate. "Lets just move on with our lives." Chunhua gave a bitter smile, walking off to the sink to wash the dishes. Lowkey ignoring the question.

Kate was on her way to her room, looking back at her. "Mia's throwing a party tonight, I'll be there right after i finish my class. You're going?"

"Right, it's her birthday.. I forgot to get her a gift." Chunhua suddenly remembered something. Kate replied, "Just text me once you're done with your shift later, I'll be hanging out with them for almost the whole time."

Out of nowhere, his face flashed inside her mind, making her snap out of thoughts and look at Kate. There were questions she wanted to ask. Realizing that look she hint, Kate stared at her. "Umm, that Yangyang- he doesn't live here right?"

"His friend does. Right next to us."

Chunhua was shook, she gave Kate a face, "Does that mean i might have the chance to see him everyday?"

Kate shrugged, "Depends."

That evening, Chunhua came for her shift. Sitting quietly, she kept sneezing in the quiet place, the librarian looking back at her a few times. Her eyes showed clearly that she was tired, a little red and the dark circle under her eyes was slightly distracting the librarian by looking at her. "Are you doing fine?"

"You should take a day off and rest for a bit. You don't look well to me." The librarian continued but she insisted. "If you dont take a day off today, you must not come tomorrow for your shift." The librarian eyed her. She stared at the clock on the wall behind her, it was already late- besides, her shift was almost over in a few more hours and it was useless to leave right away.

"I'm fine." She reassured.

The librarian squinted her eyes, "but you should take off tomorrow and the day after tomorrow, okay? Just come back once you recovered." Chunhua weakly smiled, nodding.

Chunhua cleared her mind for a brief moment as her hand placed on the table. She sniffed, by the effect of walking in the rain yesterday made her felt cold. Shivering in her long sleeved turtleneck shirt. She fixed her clothes, impatiently waiting for her tutor to come up but it seemed that he wasn't around. She's always informed if she would have classes or not, waiting in the seat of the corner in the library. Staring at her books on the table, her mind were drifted away by the distraction of random thoughts.
