Chunhua finished her classes and lectures, relieved that it ended early than the past few days. Minutes wasted just like that, she ended up on the bench in the streets just under a shady tree to relax.
A figure that stood across her with a phone in his hands automatically caught her artention, looking like he was looking for someone, eyes roamed around the place seconds after he glance at his phone. By the side profile she stare at, she thought of a familiar person.
She checked his face several times before standing up. "Renjun. Right? Jaemin's friend."
The boy in a black suit looked up from his phone, looking back at the owner of the voice that just called him. "Woah, Chunhua! What a coincidence. "
"What are you doing here? Well, youre far from home." She shrugged randomly, somehow staring at his outfit.
Renjun smiled by the greeting, putting his phone into his pocket. "Oh, My dad was offered for a job here. I might as well stay for a few months, or maybe years." She nodded with an 'oh' look.
They chatted for a few minutes, asking each other's path, exchanged questions, and all the experiences theyve been through after high school. It has been a while not seeing others schoolmates. "I'm continuing my studies here, guess fate took me here." She smiled as they continued their talk.
Somehow being rich is just enough to not continue studies, it lifts a little burden as a young teenager that didnt have a specific career. He also looked like he's working with his father, maybe a boss of a company he work for?
Just as they're about to separate their ways, a car stopped almost next to him.
"I'll go first. See you next time!" The boy smiled before stepping into a black car.

At the very beginning of a relationship, the both of them tried their best to reduce the time of studying at school than usual. The both of them exchanged opinions, talk about each other's stories, learn and study together. It was less awkward than before, trying to adjust themselves in this kind of situation, being comfortable with each other.
Yangyang was still the personal teacher and tutor of hers, revising their work together, learning new topics and languages, somehow communicating in multiple languages at the same time.
Compared to his seriousness in anything related to education, Yangyang could make her laugh and embarrassed all the time, telling jokes and his silly behavior and childhood stories, he's even good at dissing people. It made her wondered where he get that character from.
He was quite a tease, showing little by little of his affection by saying romantic words in German, and smiling proudly to see her cheerful face that he missed for so long. Sometimes they act stiff and awkward but most of the time they get along to start anew.
Most of the days, they both studied at a café, asking each other the only time they're free. Meeting up in front of the cafe and sometimes just around the neighbourhood after classes.
Yangyang would wave at her from afar like a silly, happy man he ever have but might also regret his doings after.
She noticed that he had his legs shaking in purpose under the table, as if he wanted the day to end impatiently. She shrugged the thoughts off, continuing to listen to his explanation. It never fail to catch her attention to focus, making it looked like she's really into it.
"Are you leaving after this?" Yangyang asked, checking the time through his phone as they finished their study seesion, barely staring at her.
Chunhua looked back at him knowing that he's going to leave in a few minutes as his hands were already on his books and stuff. "You can pack up, no need to wait for me. I'll be going to the toilet first." She said before making her way to the toilet.
As soon as she got in, Yangyang stood from his seat to pack his stuff then walked out of the café into his car. He brought a small shopping bag out and got back inside the building, instantly heading to the cashier.
"Excuse me, could you do me a favor?" He looked at the cashier with hope, eyebrows lifted. "Sure, of course." The cashier friendly replied.
"Could you please hand this over to the girl that sat there earlier? She's still in the toilet so you can give her once she arrived back to her seat. Thank you, I'll be leaving." In hurry, Yangyang pointed then gave the cashier a wide smile as he handed the bag over.
Arriving back to her seat, Chunhua immediately pack her things up, taking a sip from her drink and back ar it until a female worker stopped her from doing so. She stared at first, turning towards the worker with a questioning look. "I'm sorry to disturb you but there was a guy who asked me to hand this over to you. He was the guy who sat with you if I'm not mistaken."
Instead of confused, Chunhua accepted the bag, taking it out of the worker's hands and thank her. She was really curious of the mysterious packaging inside the bag but it showed obviously to whoever that can tell by the box.
An audible gasp left her lips as she took it out, placing her butt back on the seat. Her legs felt like it has weakened.
A laptop was it- the one she took out. A macbook to be exact. He sure have money, she thought. She suddenly felt guilty, somehow feeling bad for letting him give such present especially when it was only been less than a week together.
She didn't know what to feel actually, thankful or guilty, happy or pitiful of herself. She let out a sigh before putting it back in to pack her things. To her, it felt like the start of a familiar event every couple do- give out random gifts to their lover.
"You're staring at some customers again."
The friend stated which made the female worker speak as she lean on the counter beside. "It looked like her boyfriend."
"The one that was here? With the kpop style- ok never mind- what's up?" The other one finished washing, drying its hands on its apron. The earlier replied, "He asked me to pass something to her once he left. Turned out it was some macbook."
"That's crazy."
"I know." She responded, shook yet emotionless as her eyes focused on Chunhua.
🏠
Chunhua busily drag her bags after she remove her shoes into the living room- only to find Kate sitting- turning her chair towards her near the kitchen counter looking back at her.
"How's your day?" Her tone that was noticed a bit different, like in a teasing and more of a-happy-girl way.
Chunhua put down her bags, and took out one of the shopping bag in her hands, her smile was quite bitter. A sigh came out of her mouth when Kate had her jaw dropped to see a brand new macbook she never knew Chunhua owned.
