I watch you
You don't see me
They never do
I wait for you
Like I always do
But this time
You will be mine
Unexpected
My favorite way
I watch your loved ones
They don't know
They won't get
That last goodbye
You take a breath
And I swoop in
They don't notice
What peril you are in
I embrace you to me
Away we go
Leaving all you know
You cry as you say goodbye
But they all fall on deaf ears
No longer can they hear you
No longer can they see you
All they see is what you used to be
We reach your resting place
You ask for peace
I laugh at you
For being a fool
You watch the stone
As each word is engraved
You start to cry
As the truth of my words
Finally soak through
There is no going back
You serve a greater purpose
Now you serve me
My never ending
Slave for all eternity***
I wrote this and I'm not entirely sure what I had in mind. This just came out and here it is for everyone to see.
