My light is gone and all I see
Is the darkness consuming me
Your light went out and so did mine
The days have become meaningless
All I do is sit and despair
I keep you company as I sit beside you
I talk to you and read to you
But you cannot hear me
The rain comes and soaks me through
But still I sit beside you
One day the darkness will finally take over
But that won't happen, not yet
Not until they lay me to rest
Right beside you
