Saiges POV
"I dont need to be watched," I growl. "Im not a little kid."
"I know that, but you still have a mind that can be easily influenced." He reasoned.
"Are you calling me gullible?" I stand up for my chair and smack the book closed.
"No-"
"Listen closely, Tomlinson," I hiss at him. "I dont care what that book says, what you- or anyone- says, I am not who youre looking for!"
"Really?"
"Yes, really." I growl. He shakes his head and points behind me. I turn and see a large crack in the wall with oozing substance.
"That happened when you just ranted to me." He explained. I ignored him, however, and walked closer to the odd damage. I touch and hiss. "Saige?"
"What is that?" I mumble and feel him close behind me within an instant.
"Mold," He simply replies and looks at my singed finger. "Devils mold."
"Excuse me?"
"Its mold genetically designed to not give deseases like regular mold, but to also burn and consume all thats good."
Then, my dreams flash to my mind.
"Can I keep some?" I ask. He shakes his head and sighs. "Why?"
"Even if youre half evil, the other half is still angelic," He explains. "This mold prospers when infront of good. We dont want it turning you into what youre not."
"What Im not?" I say shocked. "Excuse me, but I dont think you can tell me what I am and Im not."
"I can," He whispers. "And I will."
"And how do you know?" I question and he tenses.
"I watched him make you," He whispers shyly and looks away at how wrong that sounded.
"Pardon?"
"I watched," He clears his throat. "I watched God make you. Your golden wings, your gorgeous eyes, your thick hair, your skin, your body. I watched him make you. He put so much effort in it, counting how many hairs were on your body, knowing the exact shade of color it was along with your eyes and skin. I watched him sculp your lips with such detail. He gave you flaws, so you werent perfect like Christ, but he knew them all and made sure the perfects had evened the flaws. He was careful with you, like all his children, and handled you with care."
I stayed silent, watching him as he talked.
"And when he decided for you to go," He pauses. "He let you pick your family, your parent, your mother. And, when you did, he nodded and sent you forth. I watched you drift through the womans crown, her head, and down to belly to grow. I then watched him take out a nice written book, seeing the words and I knew it was your story. He had written your life and, by all mighty, I knew you were gonna follow it."
"That is," He sighs. "Until the devil decided to kick his foot in, like with every other creation. See, you picked a good mother- She was always nice and good towards others. Always, unknowingly of course, denied the devils offers and stayed religious. When she met your dad, who you didnt pick by the way, she fell into his trap for the first time."
"Your father wasnt a good man. He gambled, he used the Lords name in vein, he murdered a few, he never kept a relationship with the riotous one, he lied alot, and he... He committed adultery in all his marriages. A big no no. And he had premarital sex, and even had a good role, playing bottom."
"He was a pawn the devil took, and used. Thats where your bad side comes from."
"If premarital sex is wrong," I say slowly. "What about us?"
"Youre still technically human, so you will make mistakes," He said and hesitated. "I personally prayed to God for forgiveness and for him to forgive you."
"Oh."
"Do you understand now?" He quickly changes the subject. "How you came to be?"
"Yeah..."
I was a bit hurt. He saw me as a mistake, and he took my virginity?
"Good," He sighs. "Lets get you home before Simon freaks, okay?"
