Saiges P.O.V

I sigh and tumble in the sheets, trying to find a position to fall asleep in. Obviously, I was having trouble. It wasn't working so I sit up and look around my now bright room.

Damn the sunlight...

I sigh and walk into the bathroom. I stare at the person in the glass. I shake my head.

Just like my mother...

The unreadable eyes, the somehow 'lovable' hair, the rose colored lips, and sort of pale skin.

I looked nothing like my father. Not a single feature matched his.

I sigh and start the shower. I missed dad. Mom wasn't the best when it came to caring for me. She almost didn't care, it seemed.

Dad, however, put so much love and compassion into our relationship. I still remember the day before he killed himself...

--Flashback--

The weeds were tall, about to my waist. I was tall girl, something I knew I got from dad. I smiled and laid on the somewhat soft ground, hidden behind the tall weeds.

Dad never liked to cut them. He loved how I would play hide and seek in them.

"Saige?" Mom yelled out. I hear her dramatic sigh and roll my eyes. Always the serious one. "Tony, you really need to cut these weeds! The girl could run away one day through these and you wouldn't know it!"

"She loves her home, Duri," He stated calmly as he closed the porch door. "Only kids who hate home would run away. She loves it here."

"That's not the damn point, and you know it!" She sighed. "Fine then! You get her to come in for dinner."

I hear her heels click on the wood and I shake my head. She never knew how to have fun...

"SAIGE EVETTE JOHNSON!" Dad yelled as he laughed. I hear his boots hit the ground and, with in seconds, he's infront of me. I sit up and look at him. "Moms mad."

"Figured it," I shrug, smiling as I stand up. "She was never the playful one."

"She still loves you." He said as if it were a fact. "We all do."

"Then why-"

"Listen to me," He sighs and we sit on the steps. "There will be a day that we'll be gone, me and your mom."

"Dad-"

"I said listen," He cut me off again. "You know its true. I know its true. I don't want it to be, but it is. And, when it happens, I want you to remember that we loved you. We love you so much..."

--Flashback Over--

I stood in the shower, nude, as the hot droplets hit my skin. He knew...

He knew that tomorrow was the last day.

And he didn't even say good bye to me...
