Dimples
They're weird aren't they
A malfunctioning muscle
In a puzzle of beauty
Yet still beautiful
Yet we don't see these as a fault
Because they don't work
Some even say they are beautiful
But what is beauty
If beauty is a fault
Why are faults not beautiful
Why are scars not beautiful
Why are mistakes not beautiful
Why are there standards to hide our faults
Because faults are not beautiful
Period
At least that is what we are told
It is shoved down our throats
I am not beautiful
You are not beautiful
But that girl
Yes she's beautiful
But she isn't told she's beautiful
It is shoved down her throat too
But she's skinny
She has long legs
She has the natural pout
She has what everyone looks for
But she believes she is not beautiful
Because confidence isn't beautiful
Period
At least that is what we are told
But let me say something that isn't beautiful
You are beautiful
We are forced to live up to standards not our own
If you don't feel comfortable showing your skin don't
If you feel comfortable in sweatpants then wear them
You don't have to put makeup on
You don't look like a monster
And I know you think oh hunny I do
But Honey you do not
You do not have to be FAKE to be BEAUTIFUL
Beautiful is not perfection
Beautiful is your faults
Perfection is impossible so don't try to be perfect try to be you
You are beautiful
You are a compilation of faults put together painstakingly perfect
You may not be religious but I believe God made us how we are for a reason
You are you and you are beautiful
Period
At least that is what I have told
Dimples are a malfunctioning muscle
They are a fault
But many find them beautiful
You are faulted
And I find that beautiful
