"What are you cooking? It smells terrible." I said coming into the kitchen to see Shawn looking at me with his arms folded over his crest

"I'm trying." Shawn said throwing his arms up in the air

"What are you TRYING to cooking then?" I asked making sure I sounded clear

"It's this recipe my mom used to make for me when I was a kid." He told me

"And you messed up?" I asked trying to hold back my laughter

"yeah... I don't know what happened. I followed all the instructions." Shawn said messing in his hair.

"Let me see" I said as he handed me the instructions

"I left it in the oven for 45 minutes. I understand what I did wrong." Shawn said waiting for me to respond

"You were only supposed to cook it for 20 minutes." I said starting to laugh

"Ughh, you want to just order pizza?" Shawn asked me

"That's fine and it's okay don't be to hard on yourself." I said coming over to give him a hug

"Yeah but I wanted to surprise you." He said as I just looked up at him

"You still surprised me if though it wasn't what you were going for." I told him trying to make him smile

"I'm still going to try again." He said finally smiling

"Just don't burn anything next time." I said laughing and walking away from him
