Chapter 23: Memory Lane

Nayeon's POV

Jeongyeon got discharged out of the hospital again the other day. The doctor said it's good because she's slowly getting her memories back which includes me. She's starting to live in the dorm again. Everyone's really happy for me and her because this could be a start of something new.

*Ding dong*

The doorbell rang. Jihyo who is sitting on her bed, we looked at each other and we both assumed who it is. We both ran up to grab the door and see outside.

'Jeongyeon!'

'Hey'

I jumped as she catches me and we hugged.

'Eherm!' Jihyo interrupts as she clears her throat.

We looked at her and she hs her arms crossed and leaning on her right leg. Looking at us as her eyebrow raises.

Jeongyeon and I let go. We felt embarrassed to what Jihyo just saw. I mean, who could blame us? It's been so long since I get to hug her like that.

'Come in. Here let me help you with that' Jihyo said as she grabs Jeongyeon's luggages. Jeongyeon intertwines her finger on mine as we follow Jihyo.

'Here, this is your room. You remember, right? Even your roommate?' Jihyo said as she opens the door.

Jeongyeon nodded. We walked in.

'Sigh. Thank God' Jihyo said in relief. 'Well, I'll cook dinner. The others will be here soon. They're just buying other stuff for the party later.' Jihyo said as she starts to walk out of the room.

'Oh wait' She stopped at the entrance and looked back at us with a mischievious smile on her face. 'You kids better not do anything stupid. I don't wanna hear any sexual stuff from this room while I cook. That's kinda nasty.' Jihyo jokingly said as she shakes her head.

'Yah! What do you think of us?!' Jeongyeon said. She reached out for the pillow and threw it at her but Jihyo closes the door before she could get hit by it.

We heard her laughing outside.

'That girl is so dirty minded' Jeongyeon chuckled as she grabs her luggage and opens it.

We laughed. I sat on the bed.

'You know... we did 'it', right?'

'Huh?' She curiously asked .

'That. We did it.' I said As I refer to that something.

'OH! Yeahhh! I remember!' She exclaimed as she points at me.

'Yeah...I'm sorry' she apologizes.

'Huh? Why?'

'Cause I was very aggressive to you back then...It wasn't my intention to do 'it' with you while I'm angry...I probably hurt you back then..' She stopped taking out the things from her luggage.

'Hey, it's okay. Don't worry about it. It's all in past. And I guess, I did deserve something like that.' I said. I bent down behind her and sat down. I hugged from the back and lean my head on her back.

'Ya. Nayeonnie' She called as she remove my arms around her. She turned to me and cupped my face.

'You're my lady. Do you understand?'

'That means, I will treat you as my queen. I will serve you and love you as my wife.' She said firmly. I blushed as I hear the word 'wife'

'W-wife?'

'Yeah. Just wait till we get married' she smiled from ear to ear. Even her eyes smiled. I just looked at her in awe as I blush.

She turned around and continued unpacking her stuff. I looked down and grabbed my face while a cup it.

W-wife? Q-queen? Wae? Just wait till we get married? Otoke??? My heart is beating so fast. Aigoo~

It's 7pm and the others came. We started decorating and prepare for the party.

'Ya, Jihyo. Why are we decorating so much? Is anyone else coming?' I came up to Jihyo who is standing on a stool trying to hang the fairy lights in the window.

'Oh, yeah. Our boss, the managers, some friends, Jisoo and her friends' she said focused, not taking her eyes off of what she's doing.

'Ohh' I responded.

It's around 9 pm and everyone gather round. JYP, some friends and managers, some of twice's family and Jisoo and her friends also came.

Everyone was having a blast catching up with Jeongyeon since she can't remember some things.

Jisoo went out at the balcony alone and Jeongyeon noticed and went after her.

'Hey' Jeongyeon greeted while closing the sliding door of the balcony.

Jisoo was leaning againt the rail in the balcony, looking at the city filled with lights. When she looked back at the girl who also walked in after her.

'What's up?' Jisoo responded.

'Nothing much' The short-haired girl answered leaning on the rail beside Jisoo. 'Why are you here alone?' She asked.

With the loudness of the people inside, the vibe wasn't that peaceful for the both of them. Though, the vibe was enjoyable for both.

'Hey, remember when you brought me to that place? The one you named The Promised Place?' Jisoo asked the taller one.

Jeongyeon looked at her while other girl was looking far away in the city.

'Yeah. That was when I wanted you back so bad' she answered with a smile.

'The monkey was cute.' The shorter one brought up. '...especially the letter.' She continued.

'When I read the letter, I felt the regret of not taking you back that day. I could've. I should've.'

'Jinyoung-oppa was such an opposite of you and I got sick of it. So we decided to end things off and just be friends since it's not working for the both of us'

Jisoo said with teary eyes.

Jeongeyon felt awkward and didn't know what to say to the girl.

'Well...uhm.. When I gained my memories back, I was actually surprised you guys does act like nothing happened between the two of you when we went to amusement park.'

'I thought of how Jinyoung-oppa felt that day when we're there acting like we're together'

Jeongyeon said.

'Gomawo~ for going along with my misinformation memories just for me to be safe' Jeongyeon gave her thanks with a smile while looking at Jisoo.

'Nayeon-unnie almost begged me in her knees just to get me agree on that. Aigoo~ she's such a perfect girlfriend Jeongyeonie. So don't let her go, arrasso?!' Jisoo said and hit the taller one's arm at the end.

They chuckled. In a peacefully vibe of the outside with the view of city lights and the loudness of the closest people to them from the dorm, it was such a nice vibe for the two to enjoy.
