Chapter 4: step by step

Jeongyeon's POV

We got home and the maknaes and Momo ran towards us for the cake we bought.

'Waaaa!! Nayeonnie! Jeongyeonnie!! You're home!' Chaeng ran towards us for a hug.

'Aigoo' I groaned because she's pretty heavy. Nayeon chuckled and hugged Chaeng back. I smiled at the sight of her. Her bunny teeth showed. Whatta cutie haha

'Did you eat yet?' Nayeon asked and held Chaeng's face to look at it. Just like a mother and her kid.

'Yes, unnie! We ate a lot tonight' Chaeng stated everything they ate while Nayeon was just listening.

'Is that cake?' Momo asked. Obviously. The girl who eats everything.

'Ah yeah. Dessert?' I raised the cake while offering it to them.

'Of course!' The maknaes and Momo all said in unison. They're all such kids, I swear haha

We walked in finally. Sana and Mina are watching tv in the living room. Jihyo is washing the dishes.

'I'll get ready the plates. Kids can you help me dry these?' Jihyo asked. The maknaes helped the leader in need. 'Tzuyu, take out the plates in the cabinet for the cakes' she commanded.

I put the cake on the table and opened it. Nayeon went to get changed. Sana and Mina stopped the drama they were watching and huddled in with Momo and the maknaes. Jihyo started cutting the cake and we're all just watching. The maknaes, especially Momo has this funny reaction haha they're all drooling over the cake.

Nayeon's POV

We came home and they're all in the dining and probably starting to eat the cake. I stared in the mirror. I can't take my mind off of it.

'But at the moment, I'm feeling just fine. Thanks to you' The phrases, the person who said it, the smile of that person, and the gentle eyes when the phrases were said, it gives me a very weird sensation. It's like there's butterflies in my stomach? It makes my heart go '!!!' everytime I remember the scenery. I came back to reality and saw my face in the mirror turning red. 'No!' I slapped my cheeks woth my two hands to wake myself up. 'She's still moving on. I can't.' I said while talking to myself in the mirror. I changed with spandex and a cozy shirt where the shirt looked like a dress and I don't seem to have anything underneath.

I went out and saw them staring at the cake being cut. They're all so cute staring at the cake like kids hungry for sweets haha. I looked at the maknaes and omg Momo hahahaha they're drooling over the cake! They're so cute omg. I'm just looking at the members when I Jeongyeon caught my attention. She's smiling at the faces of the Momo and the maknaes. Her smile... is contagious.

'I see you guys cutting the cake now' I said when I huddle in with them.

'Yeah Jihyo-nie is a slow cutter' Tzuyu pouted. She's being impatient haha how cute.

'Shut up. I'm good at this' Jihyo said so focused on cutting the cake. I chuckled.

'Nayeonnie, sit here' Chaeng offered her seat to me which is right beside Jeongyeon. I sat and she sat on my lap. I hugged her back. Chaeng really is like my child.

'Done!' Jihyo smiled. Seeing her expression she seemed proud of her work.

'Yey!' The other member cheered.

Everyone took a slice. I realized I didn't have a plate and fork.

'We can just share' Jeongyeon offered. Smiling at me. Sharing plate with a slice of cake on it already.

'Unnie can I have your piece then?' Dahyun asked. I was gonna answer when Chaeng whined at me.

'But I also want another slice unnie' she pouted. Omo my children.
