Chapter 24: The New Beginning

Nayeon's POV

I'm currently watching the tv, curiously thinking about why there's no one home. I texted all of them but no one answered.

'Otoke? Jeongyeon and I are supposed to have a date today..' I picked up my phone and contacted Jeongyeon. Still, she didn't answer.

Where are they?

After a few minutes of unfocusedly watching the tv, I heard a knock on the door. No, more like a bang.

*Bang bang bang*

I heard someone vigorously knocking at the dorm.

'What the?'

I peeped on the hole to see who it is. It's Sana. She's with Momo and Mina.

I opened the door.

'What the hell is wrong with you guys? Don't you have your own keys-'

'Unnie, come!' before I knew it I was pulled by Momo and Mina. They didn't even listened and answered my questions.

We got to the van and Sana who is behind us, slammed the door.

'Okay, okay. What the hell is happening?' They kept quiet and all looking very worried.

I looked at the driver but he also avoided eye contact with me.

'Ahjussi, stop the car. I'm going out' I said and unfastened my seatbelt and was ready to open the door.

'Ahjussi, don't' Sana told the old man. I looked back at her and glared at her.

'Ahjussi, stop the car right now'

'No, Ahjussi'

Ahjussi was looking very nervous and confused.

'I'm supposed to have a date with Jeongyeon, Sana. I can't deal with this kind of things right now' she looked down.

'So, stop the car right now, Ahjussi. Or else, I'm gonna jump' I held the door and ready to open it. Threatening the people inside.

'No, stop unnie! Don't' they all said as they hold me back.

I kept resisting when Mina said something.

'Jeongyeon-nie is in danger right now!' I stopped resisting and looked at her.

'What? What did you say?'

They all looked at each other in concern.

'What did you say, Mina. Repeat what you said' she's not looking at me.

'Repeat what you said about Jeongyeon, Mina!' I screamed. She got startled.

'Unnie. Jeongyeon went out to get you a present and prepare a date with you but...' she stopped suddenly and looked down. Leaving me in confusion.

'What...what?!'

'She got into an accident. She's now fighting for her life...' My heart shattered as soon as I hear the words. I let myself let loose.

It was a few minutes of silence. I couldn't cry since I'm still tryig to let it sink in.

Not again. Not again, Jeongyeon. You're always leaving me and getting yourself in danger... why is this happening to us?

Mina suddenly gave me paperbag. It has a plushy of ostrich and a bunny together and has heart between them. The heart has something written on it.
