Chapter 2: My Valentine

"I'm sorry Conner, but can we just be friends?" bulong ni Dale sa binatang nanatiling nakaluhod sa harap niya.

Nagulat pa siya ng bigla itong tumayo at niyakap siya. Sa mata ng mga estudyante at gurong naroon ay para bang sinagot niya ang binata.

"C-conner!"

"It's okay sweet."bulong nito at bahagyang hinaplos ang buhok niya." Just let them think what they want to think." he said.

" I just hope, he know what he's been missing."nakangiting sabi nito.

" What are you talking about? " naguguluhang tanong niya na hindi magawang kumawala sa yakap nito gayong hindi naman iyon ganun ka higpit.

" I know you're In love with your bestfriend. " napasinghap siya sa sinabi nito."? I just wish he realised that before its too late. " sa sinabi nito ay napaluha siya at wala sa loob na napayakap din dito.

Without realising the impact of what she has done. She just sealed the thought of all the students and teachers at their school including her bestfriend Edward Jace.

Natatawang pinakawalan siya ni Conner bago pinahid ang luhang nasa pisngi niya.

"I can't believe I made you cry on the first day of us being official." sabi nito na ikinalito niya.

"Sweet, lahat ng tao na andito ngayon sa gym are thinking that we're officially together. And I have no intention of correcting them, unless you want me to." bale walang sabi nito na naitago ang pait sa tinig.

"But-" muli niyang nilingon ang mesa kung nasaan ang mga kaibigan, but she immediately turned her head back ng makitang sweet na naglalambingan si Edward at ang nobya nitong si Heaven.

"Don't worry, magpapanggap lang tayo. I will act as your boyfriend only when he is around. And I will not do anything that might ruin our friendship." sabi nito na dahilan para muli siyang maluha. He hugged her again and kissed her head.

"Thank you and I'm sorry." sabi niya sa marahang paghikbi.

"It's okay sweet. I promise to protect you from now on." sabi nito. "Now, stop crying cause you still have 2 more songs to sing. Ayokong mamaos ka, siguradong ako ang sisisihin ng mga fans mo, ma bash pa ako." pagbibiro nito na ikinatawa niya.

Hindi niya maintindihan, pero magaan amg loob niya kay Conner. She see him as a big brother at natutuwa siya na tinaggap nito ng maayos ang desisyon niyang huwag tanggapin ang pag-ibig nito. He deserves someone better.

Umalis siya sa pagkakayakap nito at nagpaalam para muling bumalik sa gitna ng stage pero bago siya makalayo ay muli nitong tinawag ang pangalan niya. Nilingon niya ito.

"Dedicate your next song to me." sabi nito na may malapad na ngiti sa mga labi.

Sinuklian niya iyon ng isang matamis na ngiti bago tumango at tumalikod para bumalik sa stage.

She picked up her guitar and face the microphone bago marahang tumikhim at huminga ng malalim

" I'm sorry for keeping you guys wait." sabi niya sa audience.

May isang estudyante na sumigaw.

"No problem ganda. Worth it mag hintay basta ikaw." umani iyon ng tuksuhan at tawanan sa mga estudyante at guro. She smiled.

"My next song is dedicated to my Boyfriend. Conner Francisco. My Valentine." she said bago nilingon ang binatang nasa tabi ng stage kasama ang mga team mates nito.

Halos mauyog ang buong gymnasium sa sigawan at panunukso ng mga estudyante dahil sa sinabi niya. Conner's face turned into red tomato. She didn't know he could be shy.

Napangiti siya, doon man lang makabawi siya sa kabaitan sa kanya ng binata. She started to strum her guitar and started to sing.

Pero hindi niya maiwasang tumingin sa bahaging kinaroroonan ni Edward habang kumakanta siya. Muntik pa niyang malimutan ang lyrics ng makitang titig na titig ang binata sa kanya. At hindi niya maintindihan kung bakit ganoon ang hitsura nito. Iniwan niya ang tingin and continue on singing.

Saglit siyang tumingin sa dak7 ni Conner na nakatingin din pala sa kanya. Binigyan siya nito ng ngiti at thumbs up bago nag flying kiss ma muli ay umani ng malakas na sigawan sa mga manonood. She smiled back at him sweetly.

Nang patapos na ang kanta ay muli niyang nilingon si Edward, but he was not there anymore ganoon din ang nobya nito. She felt a sudden pain in her heart sa isipin kung saan nagtungo ang dalawa at sa kung ano amg ginagawa ng mga ito.
