Kellie
Grayson couldn't have made that anymore more difficult. I hate seeing him like that. Especially after the night we just had - This is exactly why I distanced myself from him all those years ago. Feelings always get in the way and this is what I was most afraid of happening with getting back in contact with him.

I'm doing the right thing by going away.

"I'm home, I won't be long. How is Gray & Eth?" I text Cameron. I put my phone down on my bedside table, grab a towel and turn the shower on in the bathroom.

"Honey? Is that you?" My mom shouts from downstairs. "Yeah, just out of the shower" I yell, towel drying my hair. I check my phone. Cameron's replied. "Ethan's fine. Grayson however, miserable... You're both the same.. don't worry I haven't said anything to Ethan, but maybe you do need to talk to Grayson before you leave next week? x" I sigh, I know she's right but I don't want to set myself up, only to be rejected. I don't want the heartbreak. It's better I just don't say anything at all.

"You didn't come home last night, your father and I were worried" Mom appears at my bedroom door. "Woah.. Mom. Ever think about knocking maybe?" I cover myself up, clutching onto the towel wrapped around my body. "Sorry Mom, it won't happen again" I reply, ushering her out of my bedroom.

Feeling fresh. Finally dressed. "I'm heading back over to Cameron's. Her twin brothers are home visiting from LA - remember Ethan and Grayson?" I ask, taking a banana from the fruit bowl. "Oh how lovely! Of course I remember. You spent most of your childhood at theirs! Send my love to the both of them - and they're both welcome here anytime. It would be lovely to see them" Mom replies, unpacking the groceries.

"Thanks Mom, I will pass your message on. I'll see you later. Have a good day" I reply, hugging her and kissing her on the cheek.

I get back into my car and reverse out of my driveway. Half way back the fuel light comes on and I pull into the nearest gas station. Fill up and pay at the kiosk. Upon my return I notice a masked figure trying to get into my car. "Hey! What the fuck do you think you're doing man?" I yell, and the masked figure looks up. Pulling a weapon from his waist and pointing it towards me. I freeze. Unable to physically move or say anything. "Woah man!" A voice behind me appears and stands in front of me, protecting me.

The masked figure runs, disappearing into the distance. I start to panic and breathe very heavily. The body protecting me turns around and places both their hands on either of my shoulders. I look up, only to be eye level with their chest. Whoever this is, is very tall and very muscular - and has basically just saved my life.

"Thank you, just thank you. How ever can I thank you for saving my life?" I burst, crying my eyes out. I'm literally shaking. "No need to apologise" a very husky voice answers. I look up, immediately recognising the tall muscular figure standing in front of me. "Hunter?" I gasp. "Kellie?" He takes a step back, recognising me also. The years certainly have treated him well. He embraces me again. "How are you?" He asks - realising the stupidity in his question after the previous events. "I-I think I'm ok" I take a deep breath. "You're not really, are you? What do you say about grabbing a coffee or something?" He asks, pointing to the newly openedp diner across the road. "No, no it's okay. I have to be somewhere. Thank you again" I reply, searching for my keys I must have dropped on the floor. "You're clearly in no fit state to drive, look at your hands Jellie" - my eyes widen. Jellie was my nickname Hunter used to call me back in middle and High School.

He finds my car keys before me and puts them in his pocket. "I'm not taking no for an answer" he says, grabbing my shaking hand. "Looks, like I don't have a choice" I reply, reluctantly following him to the diner.
