John Doe arrived at the appointed location at the exact time scheduled. Meezala was running a bit late however.
"John!" Meezala calles out. "Sorry I'm late."
"No need to apologize. Oh, your attire is different than usual."
"Y-Yeah it is. Does it look good?"
     "It suits you well."
"Thanks. I noticed you're wearing the suit from the last mission."
"Yes, I feel quite comfortable in it."
     "Is that so?"
     "Indeed. Shall we be going?"
"Yeah. If you don't mind, I actually have a few errands to run before we do anything else."
"I'll join you, then."
"Thanks. Follow me."
She took him to a few stores to get the things she needed. People questioned why John was with her, for some were not fond of him.
The stores in dimension 0 aren't traditional markets because they don't have an economy. There are some who can simply create whatever object is needed and they give them away.
Dimension 0 is also rather small, with a few separate districts. Market, recreation, and the headquarters of course.
After picking up her things, Meezala took John back to her living quarters to drop them off, then walked to the recreation district.
There was a park, arcade, and theater. All were inspired by dimension 1, but with 0's exceedingly smaller population, the lines were short.
"Well, which one looks fun to you?" Meezala asked.
John couldn't answer. He looked around, but the things he saw were all meaningless to him.
     "Nothing..?"
     "Sorry."
"Let's just try something, see what you like."
     "Yes. Should I choose randomly?"
     "Okay."
John spun around with his eyes closed. After spinning for an exact 10 seconds, he stopped and pointed straight forward. "There!"
     "...That's the exit."
"Huh?" John opened his eyes. "Oh. Retry."
     John spun again. "There!"
"Okay, the theater. Let's watch a movie."
     "A movie?"
     "You'll see, come on!"
Standing at the ticket booth, Meezala looked through the movie selection. I wonder if I can make him laugh, she thought. She bought tickets to see a new romantic comedy movie. "This will be fun, trust me," she told John.
"Okay, fun."
John couldn't begin to comprehend the jokes and themes of the film. Meezala was right by him, laughing and crying, but John was only confused.
"That was a good movie, wasn't it?" Meezala asked after it was over.
     "I guess so," John answered.
     "Oh, you didn't like it?"
     "I didn't understand the purpose."
"Ah, I see. Maybe movies aren't your thing. Or perhaps you would've preferred an action film." I don't want him to only find pleasure in violence though, she thought.
     "I don't know."
"Let's try something else then, come on."
     "That park looks interesting."
"Good, we'll do that. This will be really fun."
They walked around the park, looking around. Meezala saw a prize at a ring toss that she liked. "Hey," she said to John, "do you think you can win that for me?"
     "How do I do that?"
"Just throw a ring at those peg things."
"Sounds simple." John approaches the stand. "I'd like to throw these rings, please."
"You get three tries," the employee told him.
John swiftly tossed all three, landing each one perfectly.
"Wow, well done. What would you like?"
     John turned towards Meezala.
"Uh, I only want that one," she said.
Meezala took her prize from John, and they walked on.
"Did you like tossing the rings?" she asked.
"It was too easy. I cannot say it exhilarated me."
"Oh. Hmm. Maybe you'd like to ride the roller coaster?"
"What's that?"
"You get in this car thing and you go really fast on those tracks. You see them? Up there."
John looked towards the large roller coaster. It was allowed to be very dangerous and wild due to it being in dimension 0.
When they got in the cart, John noticed Meezala clutching to the bar very tightly, while he had a standardly firm grip.
     "Is something wrong?" he asked.
"N-no. I just don't do well with roller coasters..."
"You will not be hurt, ma'am."
     "Yeah, thanks."
John was unfazed by the ride, while Meezala continued to cower in fear. She tried not to scream, but failed. This happened when she opened her eyes.
After the ride, the two continued looking around the park.
John received a call from the General. "Sir."
"John, you're needed for a few upgrades. Meezala's support team crafted a sniper rifle for you, and we need you to test it out."
"Roger. I'll be on my way." John looked over at Meezala. "I have to go."
"Okay. Thanks for coming along. It was probably boring though."
"No. I enjoyed my time with you. We should do something like this again sometime. I'd like to learn how you have fun."
"Oh, really? Um, okay then. Goodbye."
"Goodbye."
They parted ways there. Meezala returned to her quarters later that day.
Why did I even do that? What does it matter that he knows how people have fun? He's just a combat android. But maybe he's more than that...
Ugh, I don't have feelings for a robot, do I? Gimme a break...
