"You called for further training, right General?" John just entered the training room to meet with General.
"Yes, we'd like to test your sniping ability. You've never used a sniper rifle before, but I have no doubts in you. You'll do perfect, I'm sure of it."
"Yes sir." John entered the simulation.
He was up on a hill, at night. In the distance, there was a camp. About a dozen enemies patrolled the area.
"Alright John," General chimed in, "do you see the sniper rifle nearby?"
John looked down to his side. "Yes, it's right by me."
"Good. Pick it up." John did so. "Okay, take position." John did so. "On my mark, fire at the targets. Eliminate them all before they can retreat." John waited. "Three...two...one...fire!" John fired.
Swiftly shifting targets, John easily took out every enemy, not a single missed shot.
"Excellent," General praised. "I knew I could count on you. We're sending you back."
A few hours later, Zakreever detected a target. "Hey, General. I've got somethin'."
     "What is it?"
"This guy, goes by Valor Cross, he's been experimenting with his powers. He's trapping people in psychotic dimensions long enough to drive them insane. He's hiding out in dimension 1."
     "That complicates things," General sighed.
"Yeah. He stays locked up in his house. It's nothing fancy either. He's surrounded by homes."
General had an idea. "Can I see the layout of his house?"
"Yeah, sure." Zakreever brought up a map of the building. There was a window right into his room.
"I got it. We'll send John to the roof of the house across from the target's. Once there's a clear shot, he'll fire."
"I have an objection," said Zakreever, who had sighed right after General said "John".
     "Yes?"
"Even is the gun is silenced, the bullet would still break the window. That'd make a loud noise, and we might get compromised."
"Then what do you propose we do?"
"Let's send in our infiltration team. They'll silently break in and kill the sicko in his sleep."
"What if something like the Trailness mission happens again?"
     "That was different-"
"No it wasn't. We had no idea she would be prepared for the infiltration, and he might be too."
"Okay, here. We'll send the infiltration team, and also have John up on the roof just in case. Sound good?"
"Well, that would be the safest bet, all things considered."
Valeesa entered the room after General said that. "Sorry I'm late. I headed out as soon as I could."
"Oh, Valeesa. It's all right. We just got our plan together. Meezala!" General called.
     "Huh? Yes?" she quickly responded.
     "Send the infiltration team."
     "R-right. On it!"
"I'll get set up," Valeesa said.
General headed off to John's room. "John, we need you for a mission."
     "Understood sir."
"You'll be armed with a sniper rifle, and you'll be placed on a rooftop. The target will be in the building across. We expect him to be in the top right window from your view. Keep your sights on him, but only fire if I order you too."
     "Yes sir."

3 infiltration soldiers were sent in to dimension 1, in the targets back yard. John was placed on the roof across as planned. He aimed his sniper rifle at the sleeping target's head. "I'm ready to fire at your order, General."
"Good. Infiltration team, move in."
The soldiers grouped up by the back door. Two soldiers watched their surroundings as the other worked on the door. He slid the lock open in a fashion similar to the card in a door trick, and opened it silently.
After looking around inside, he gestured the other two to join in, then locked the door behind them. They couldn't leave any trace.
The three headed upstairs without making a sound.
Finally, they entered the room of the target. They slowly walked towards him. One soldier contacted headquarters.
"General, we could easily capture the target here. Do you really need us to kill him?"
"He's not worth capturing. He needs to be killed."
"Alright." The soldier aimed his gun at the target...
Meanwhile, a scout unit was sent to one of the dimensions a victim of the target was trapped in. Valeesa watched over this mission.
The dimension was a small room, wall to wall with spastic flashing images, all of which nonsensical. A man was tied up in a chair in the center, not moving.
The scout looked around, unnerved at the images and videos that were now showing. His eyes started to hurt, so he shut them. "Hey!" he called out. "Are you okay? Sir?"
The man didn't respond. The scout slowly approached him, and cut off his ties. "You're going to be fine," he reassured, "I'm waking you up now. This is a dream."
Suddenly, the man went berserk and started attacking the scout. He bit and scratched at him ruthlessly. The scout struggled, and reached for his gun.
"Don't shoot him!" Valeesa ordered. "Detain him. You're stronger than him, you can do it!"
"Y-yes ma'am."
The scout grabbed at him and tried to pin him down. The man swung around like an animal, but the scout was able to cuff him.
"I got him! What do we do with him?"
"We'll take him back for a bit, and send him back once he's stable."
"Okay. Now please get me out of this freaky place."
"Sure thing. Meezala! The scout is finished, send him back!"
The infiltration soldier had his gun aimed at the target. Just before he fired, the target moved fast and pulled out a gun of his own. The three in shock, he easily shot all of them down. The bullets were only enough to stun them, until he grabbed one of their guns at shot them dead.
"General!" Meezala cried out. "All three infiltration units have died!"
"John! Fire! Fire! Fire!"
John fired three times into the targets head. Needless to say, he had died. All the noise woke up the neighbors.
"Meezala, send all four back, ASAP!"
"Working on it! It should take just a few more seconds!"
"I can't believe it," Zakreever reflected. "All of our soldiers KIA again. How did that guy know they were there? They didn't slip up at all." Zakreever thought it over.
"Yeah," General agreed, "this can't be coincidence."
John had just been brought back, but he heard their conversation. "I have a theory."
"What?" Zakreever exclaimed. "You don't even have a brain!"
Ignoring his comment, John continued. "Maybe someone is feeding information to the targets."
"Oh, so you don't trust us!? You gonna turn on us!?"
"Calm down, Zakreever," General ordered. "John can't have any bias, so I think he should converse with us when ever we can so he can figure this out."
"Are you kiddin' me!?" Zakreever complained. "I think YOU'RE the one feeding info. You're trying to make John look like some perfect creation!"
"Maybe YOU'RE the one, with you being so quick to implicate my husband," Valessa added. "You always complain about John. You're trying to sabotage our missions to make him look bad."
"But our soldiers are the ones dying, not him!"
"How unfortunate for you."
"I'm not the-!"
"Everyone, just cut it out!" General yelled. "John will investigate all of us and then we'll gather together while he reads off his results. Alright!? No bias, no yelling, no name-calling, nothing!"
The two who were arguing sat back down, both with sour attitudes. John looked over at Meezala, who had been silent the whole time. Considering that, he left the room. John would soon have to go from soldier to detective.
