The day was slow. The head staff of dimension 0 were preparing for their future interrogations from John. John himself wrote a list of questions and topics to discuss with each person. The only one who wasn't thinking about the interrogation was Zakreever. He felt he had nothing to hide, so his questioning would be pointless. Instead he spent the day he would any other.
"Man, are there even any targets left?" Zakreever asked himself. "I don't see a single person with dimensional manipulation at all. Maybe John killed the last one."
"That sure would be nice, wouldn't it?" General commented. He was the only other person in the room at the time. "It's unlikely, however. Keep looking."
"Yes sir." Zakreever searched dimension after dimension to no result.
"I'm gettin' nothin' si- wait, hold up!" Zakreever's eyes widened at his discovery. "A brand new dimension! It seems to be a wasteland with a fortress in the center. The place is filled with soldiers, in and outside!"
"Well, I guess John's preparations will have to halt for now." General stood up, until Zakreever interrupted him.
"You don't gotta do that. Let's just send the assault squad. That way John can keep focusing on his work."
"How many times will I have to go over this? John is practically indestructible, he can clear out this target's entire army on his own."
"How many times do I have to tell YOU that you're to reliant on that machine! Our assault team has been raring to go for a while, but you act like they don't exist!"
General sighed. He could not ignore his own neglect for their soldiers. "Alright. Just how large is the target's army? And what is their name?"
"A man named Zachary Batter. His army, hmm. I'd say about a thousand."
     "We'll send both."
     "Wha-?"
"Send the assault team and John. An army like that will require multiple forces to take out quickly."
"Yeah, you're right sir. I'm gonna look in to this guy's motive."
"Good idea." General turned on the intercom. "Meezala and John Doe, report to HQ ASAP."
John Doe entered first, then Meezala arrived a few minutes after. They were told of the situation. It turned out that the target was just power mad, and was creating people for his army to gun down. With this display of violence, it was obvious he bore evil intent. He may even bring his army to dimension 1 if 0 didn't act fast.
"I'm sending the assault team now, sir!" Meezala reported. "John will be supplied with an assault rifle, pistol, and six grenades. Same as the assault team."
"Alright," General responded. "John, good luck."
"Thank you, sir."
John and the assault team arrived in the new dimension and picked up their weapons.
"This'll be our first time working together," one soldier states. "I hope this goes well."
"Don't worry," John replied. "I will make sure this mission ends successfully."
"Oh YOU'LL make sure, huh? Awful cocky aren't we?"
"What do you mean?"
"Forget it. Let's get this started."
The assault force moved up towards the fortress. Once they were near, they formulated a strategy.
"Okay, we've got four snipers here, right?"
"Yeah, four."
"Good. Let's have them aiming into each side of the fortress, since this idiot didn't think to build a roof. That will help pick 'em off while we're inside."
"Not a bad idea," John commented. "Can I use one of the sniper rifles? I have good experience with them, and I believe I'd be able to take them out fast."
"Don't be stupid. You're our tank! They can't even hurt you right? Obviously you are gonna be frontlines."
"Right. My mistake. I guess I just have a fondness for sniper rifles."
"You kidding? You're a robot."
"Yeah, strange..."
John felt confused at his own self. Was there more to him than he's been informed? That doesn't matter now, I need to focus on the mission.
"Anyways, the walls look weak, so once the outside guards have been silently sniped we'll detonate the front gate."
When they finished planning, the team took positions. The front guards were sniped exactly as planned.
"Perfect. Bomb's on the door, let's move back for the blast. Then we charge. John, take the center, stand 15 meters from the door, we'll stand 30."
"Understood."
"3...2...1...detonate!"
The stone wall shattered and flew out from the explosion. A big cloud of smoke provided cover for John to charge in and fire. However...
"Okay! Pull back guys! Good luck John! Ha ha ha!"
"What!?" John said. The countless bullets flying by prevented John from questioning further as he returned fire.

"What is the meaning of this!?" General shouted.
"Assault team! Return to combat immediately! Do not abandon John!" Meezala ordered.
"Why should we?" they replied. "He doesn't need us. Isn't that right?"
"Ugh! I'm ordering you to join the fight!"
"No need, ma'am."
Meezala grew more frustrated with their disobedience.
"Assault team," General chimed in. "I will make sure that every one of you is punished if you don't return to combat right now."
"Go ahead."
"So be it."
Zakreever sat in silence. He felt betrayed, as did everyone else.

John fought off the countless threats with his assault rifle. Due to them being grouped together, he was able to take them out in mass quantities. John never lifted his finger off the trigger, just endlessly fired.
Enemies jumped on him from behind. John detonated the explosive in his back to be rid of them.
Eventually, they had all been defeated. That was when the target made his appearance, from the second floor.
"Wha-" he said as he entered the scene. "How did you-!? All of my-!? I'm gonna-! Grahhh!" It seemed he was incapable of forming complete sentences.
"I'll tell you how I did it," John said. "I'm John Doe of dimensional patrol. You've violated inter-dimensional law. Your punishment is death."
"Death!? You're gonna-!? Me!? No!" The target spawned a gatling gun into the dimension. "Ha ha ha!" Zachary fired rapidly into John's chest. John has grown quite impatient from this mission.
John leapt into the air, landing behind the target.
     "Wha-!? How did you-!?"
"Enough of you." John shoved the target down to the ground. "These bullets have no effect on me, but I wonder what they'd do to you?"
     "Wha-what!?"
Saying no more, John unloaded a storm of bullets into Zachary, ripping the target to shreds. His whole body destroyed, John had completed the mission.
     "Target annihilated. Take me back."
Meezala teleported John back to HQ. The moment he appeared, he stormed off to his quarters without stopping to receive any praise.
     "H-hey! John?" Meezala called out.
"Leave him be," General ordered. "John needs time to prepare for tomorrow."
     "Don't you think he's angry?"
"He's lifeless, he can't be angry."
"I don't know about that..." Meezala grew even more curious about the truth of John. "I enjoyed my time with you." Meezala remembered these words. If he can feel joy, can't he feel anger? Can't he feel sadness? Can he cry? Meezala had no way of knowing. Though surely, the truth must come out eventually. She would just have to wait and see.
