John Doe awoke in dimension 36,590. His load out was dual pistols. The room he appeared in was an empty white room with a single door. He walked over to it and put his back to the wall beside the door. He held one gun in his hand and stowed the other under his arm. Using his free hand, he slowly turned the door knob and pushed it slightly open. He looked through the crack to look for enemies. There were a few, and the next room was a white hallway with another door at the end.
John stood in front of the door with both guns pointed towards it. He kicked the door fully open and rapidly fired at the enemies, alternating for maximum fire rate. The opponent perished before they even had a chance to fight back. He ran down the hallway and took the same position as he did with the previous door. This time, when he opened it slightly, bullets came flying at him.
John smacked the door open, back still against the wall. He stuck his gun in the open space and fired without aiming. He took out a few, then charged in and finished the rest. He stood in yet another hallway with a door at the end. How long does this go? John wondered.
John kicked down the next door and opened fire. However, no one was in this hallway. Suspicious, John slowly walked down the hallway, weapons at the ready. Suddenly, someone dropped on him from the ceiling. John threw the opponent off of him and stomped on his face when he landed. He ground his heel in and continued down the hall.
He kicked down the next door and enemy fire came rushing towards him. He dodged to the side and took cover at the wall. After waiting for an opening, he leaned in and shot them down. At the end was another door. "Zakreever," John asked, "can you tell me how many halls are left in this dimension?"
"I've been looking, can't quite get a map of the place."
"Just keep moving," Meezala cheered on. "You'll make it to the end soon."
     "Understood."
John cleared out room after room. The long hall seemed endless. He kept moving for hours. Eventually, he reached the end. One last door, this one grander than the others. This has to be the final room, John thought. He took a deep breath, then opened the large door.
This last room was a large box rather than a hallway. Inside, Valeesa was cuffed to the wall. She looked up at John with hope in her eyes. The target made his appearance. He took the form of a shadow. "Congratulations making it this far, John" he said in a cocky tone. "I am not the last of us empowered, you will certainly face many more in the future."
"I don't care" John commented. "I'm only here to kill you and take her back. Because I'm John Doe of dimensional patrol, and you've violated inter-dimensional law. Your punishment is death."
"So be it. If only you knew as much as I did."
John did not care for his information, and rained fire upon the target. The enemy just stood still, taking the bullets like they were nothing. He slowly walked over to John and slapped the guns away. They glared at each other for a few seconds, then John got down and swept his leg at the opponent's and unleashed a flurry of punches. Many of them landed, until the target caught his fists and shoved John back.
John took a fighting stance, and the enemy did the same. They glared at each other, waiting for one to make the first move. John's patience was infinite, yet his opponent was spastic. The target growled and flung himself towards John like a stone from a catapult. John kicked him in the stomach, turned his leg, and stomped him down to the ground. John crouched down with his heavy feet locking the enemy's movement and beat at his face. It was then he noticed that his target was shielded. The shadowy appearance was a barrier surrounding his body. If I can break it, I'll be able to kill him. John had already cracked a bit of the shield on his head, but the target head butted John's chest, knocking him back.
John saw his own armor start to crack from the impact.
"JOHN!" General chimed in. "If he completely breaks even a bit of your armor, you'll be a goner!"
"What? Agh..." John had no time to be frustrated. He needed to focus on the fight. He moved in and ducked to move behind the enemy. He then wrapped his arm around his neck and rapidly hit his face with high power.
The target broke out by repeatedly stomping on John's foot. The moment he broke out, however, John grabbed his head and slammed him on the wall. John stood behind him, pinning his legs by pushing his feet down on them. The target's shield was breaking, then shattered. John pulled his head back, then slammed it hard against the wall once more. His face had caved in. He died instantly.
After a brief moment of observing the corpse, making sure he was dead, John freed Valeesa. "Thank you," she said.
     "Mission complete. Send us back."
"Thank you, John," General praised. "We would've faced disaster without her, and without you."
John was taken back into dimension 0. Meezala congratulated his hard work. General sang his praises again, and even Zakreever smiled at him. John felt content.
In the midst of all the praise, Valeesa walked by John, and whispered in his ear as she moved by. "I'll meet you in your quarters. There's something I need to tell you."
     "Yes, ma'am."
Valeesa headed her way, while John stood at the center, conversing with Meezala.
"That took a while, but you toughed it out! You were seriously amazing out there, John!"
"It was my mission, I must see it through no matter what."
     "Are you hurt at all?"
"A small piece of me has broken off, but it's nothing to stress over. Right, General?"
"Indeed. I'll have it repaired soon."
Eventually, John entered his quarters to meet with Valeesa. "You had something you needed to tell me?"
"Yes. About you, and about everyone."
